55 Monk Little Help

I want to become 55hp monk. I have totem axe, grim cesta, dvine symbol, all the skills other than shield of judgement. I have nearly compleate my ascetic armor(canthan ascetic I cant affort that many parchments). But I should play normal monk until I finish the attirbute quests and go to iron caves of moladunethan runner to citadel... I think I would need non runed (minor runed) armor to do these. Would it be problem if I get another cantan ascetic(I dont like the skin of shing jea and ascalon) from shing jea monastry for about 150 gold per piece but 15 AL. Cause I am not very rich (actually I have 700 gold right now. a-net should make jobs as runner I am good runner even did a drogs ONCE. I can run desert easily but if I find people to run. I would appriciate for 500 gold for running to augury rock from oasis. I can run many times ) Will it be okay for 15 AL because I wont take more damage then 5.5 or 1.3?

If you're doing the classic 55 monk with Prot spirit, then yes, you can get any ascetics armor, no matter how low the armor level is. I myself like to have the max armor on mine just in case I mess up and my prot spirit drops or something. Then I have a few split seconds to react before instant death.
Max armor, however, is in no way neccesary for 55ing. You'll be fine if you just want to be Shing Jea ascetics.

Doesn't the lower armor have lower energy bonuses?

two advantages of the al15 from newby land are that its far cheaper, and so its easier to acquire and properly rune and ALSO al15 works for the spirit bonder build as well. Same energy bonus on lowby ascetics

I would suggest you beat the game first and learn how to play the role of Monk.
