I was wondering what arena net would come up with for the assassin, armor and stuff.
Any pictures?

I bet armor for 'sins in Nightfall will look similar to how 'sin armor from Tyria looks, if not identical.

"Tyrian" "Canthan"

and then we Have "Canthan 15k"

But not "Tyrian 15k", Instead we have "Exotic" and "Exotic 15k"

I think there will be "Elonian" Armour for each Profetion (including Rt / A ) But only if we are lucky, 15k.

I believe ANet is not releasing any new material for the Rit or Sin at all with NF, but that is only what I have heard, take it with a grain of salt. Core Profs will get new stuff, Sins and Rits are Chapeter-Specific Profs.

I wouldn't be surprised if they got a little extra. Don't be too pessimistic guys. Besides, the word Assassin DID originate from the Middle East.

I think they should just designate a core class to each special class and let it wear that core class' armor looks. Say, ranger for assassin.

I am amoung the majority that believe that the Assassin and Ritualists will have no new content in Nightfall. Armor, skills, and otherwise.

Yes the Majority does think this. I however do not think this, in the PCGamer article just released it specifically states new skills for the SIN and RIT. Alex and Gaile have not dispelled the information on the article so I assume this is true. They might not make 7 new armor types but they might make one armor type, and until the game is released we really don't know.

However there are a lot of "experts" who have been stating their opinion as fact here so don't let your hope die off because of them.

He-he. Glory Fox, everyone on this thread has said "I bet" or "I believe".

Hardly factual statements.

Until I see a quote from Anet one way or another, I'm not going to believe anything anybody thinks.

True I was not pointing fingers at anyone in particular this time.
However as even you know there are a lot of nay sayers on these forums and I am just keeping the zippo lighter of hope up.

There will only be Core characters + NF characters.

From the Guildwars official press release for the upcoming weekend event:
Quote:
The Guild Wars Nightfall World Preview Event will feature previews of the new environments, new missions, and new battle arenas. The event will allow players to create Nightfall-specific characters from the six core professions as well as the two new NightfallTM professions, the Dervish and the Paragon, and try out new Nightfall skills.
this makes 'buisness sense' in that if you want a Assassin/Dervish.. you have to buy both Factiosn and Nightfall... kinda sucks for us tho.

I suppose it woudln't make too much sense if Anet decides to completely abandon Assassins and Ritualists. I think as each chapter goes there'll be a bit added...definitely not as much as core professions though. And perhaps for those will all the games, Paragons and Dervishes may have canthan style armor as well. Then again...if I'm right, by the time Chapter 8 comes out...they'll be updating a LOT.

We'll see what happens...seems a bit early to tell.

yeah- and THEY were the 'holy warriors' of Jerusalem, etc.

Dervishes on the other hand? Well lets just say Im glad this aint 'dance dance guild wars'

Anyone ever play the Gamecube game, Gladius? Dervishes were the class that used two daggers and had earth and air powers.... and the spearmen ran with the same kind of animations that the Paragons use ("hup hup hup hup" comes to mind)

hmmm. I dont fully understand, but yeah an assassin with a trenchcoat would be cool. Do you mean the 'actual' armor, or just armor that 'looks' the same...?

This is what I assume also.

Although I dont think it would be that hard for them to add a single piece of armor or two and a couple extra new skills for the rit and assassin.

Yeah, look the Asssassins history up on wiki.

Ubisoft is currently making a really cool looking game for Xbox 360, PC and PS3 called Assassins Creed. It's made by the team that made Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, at Ubisoft Montreal.
