For all of you that like the MUSIC in GW
lightblade
And doesn't like to spend money on buying soundtracks, I found the music on GW's official Taiwan website. Here's the direct link.

The last one doesn't work, I think.
Edit: it does.
Edit: These are all tracks that are already ingame.

Yes yes, but some want these tracks also available offgame. That's the point of soundtracks.

Very surprised to see NCSoft hosting these files.
Some of the C1 stuff is NOT on the DirectSong GW OST.

The bad thing about it is that it's 96kps MP3, while the normal soundtrack is 320kps WMA.
Still, you get what you pay for.

Oh, and like 2 MP3 Players support OGG.

(OpenSource) Ogg = (MS) WMA = (Apple) AAC > MP3
Perfer lossless like FLAC, WMA lossless, or Apple Lossless when encoding
For compression, I lean towards Ogg.. but will do Wma depending on situation of where I think I will use them.

I love the GW music and bought all the soundpacks from directsong. However I'd like to be able to burn a CD of them, and the DRM doesn't let you do that, so the download in this thread will be nice to have.
I use WMA lossless, so that I only need to rip CDs once. I can convert to MP3 at a later date for putting on an iPod or what have you, but WMA lossless is my 'master' copy for all my ripped CDs.
Also, Apple is not your friend, its DRM is just as annoying as Microsoft's, so don't get emotionally attached. Apple users seem to do this a lot.

Hmm, that's interesting. There's some tunes here which aren't in any of the directsong soundtracks, and a few of these aren't even ingame!
VolcanicIntro-32.mp3 - Heard ingame before (in a cutscene I think), but it's not in any of the soundtracks.
CrystalRift001-32.mp3 - Never heard before.
CrystalRift002-32.mp3 - Don't think I've heard this one before either.
CrystalRift003-32.mp3 - Not sure if I've heard it before. But it sounds so generic it could have easily gone unnoticed in a cutscene.
CrystalRiftInner.mp3 - Heard parts of it in a longer tune (Hall of Heroes I think).
(I think all those CrystalRift tunes were supposed to be used in Heroes' Ascent but where scrapped for some reason)
GenericAdv04-32.mp3 - Heard ingame but not in any soundtrack. A rather dull tune anyway.
ScorchedIntro-32.mp3 - Haven't heard this one before at all. I guess it was supposed to be used for a cutscene to introduce seared Ascalon.
The other tunes are all used ingame and on Directsong soundtracks. This is a REALLY nice find. I wasn't expecting to be able to add anything more to my GW soundtrack collection.

How do I merge all of the music files into one big music file. SO I don't onlt listen to one at a time?

(But, as a legitimate contrast, 320k WMAs will royally assassinate the battery life of any MP3 player (will depelete battery life 5 times as fast. I'm not joking). So the 96k MP3s are the best way to go, especially if you have an iPod.)

And with 192K Mp3s my Zen Touch lasts aproximatly 16 hours(Used to be 20), after 2 years (and considering batterys always degrade over time, thats pretty good) , my brothers ipod Which is two years old lasts 5 hours at max

The Battle Pack/SF Pack and the Special/Collector edition (that come with that version) do not allow burn.

is there anyway to use this as the background music for GW?
I prefer GW ch1's music over ch2 and ch3
