Hi, just wanted to ask some questions about going into FoW.

I've finished the game so I've decided to try going here as I've heard you can get lots of good drops (and money). Thing is it's nearly impossible to get a party. My char is a R/E20 so I can barrage, trap or interupt. Thing is, which is best for FoW?

I've also heard you shouldn't take any missions down there when farming?

Also, what is "going solo"? Does it mean as it sounds, entering FoW on your own? Surely that's really hard to do?

Anyway, any guidance you can give me, what skills to take how to go about things in there, what to expect etc would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

There are parts in FoW ( forest ) that you can solo with a ranger.

I think Barrage/interrupt would be best ( barrage/savage/distracting shot, rest utility + pets )

There are special B/P groups that go into fow. look for one.

How do I get to the forest? Enter in TOA and work my way there? Told you I was totally new to this.

Thanks for the reply.

The best thing you can do, is look at maps of the area, and do some 8 (or similar) man runs to learn the mobs around the fissure.

For the ranger forest solo, you would enter fissure (from champion of balthazar), and run to the forest.

Haven't looked at any of these recently as I'm at school, but I found them in this thread: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10038096 Plenty of other farming threads under 'Rangers' I haven't been in fow much but I have done plenty of underworld so when you say you shouldnt take any missions down there, they probably mean that there are npc's that give you quests, taking those quests will make it harder to farm.

another thing that you might be interested in, just recently a guide to chest running fow started in the ranger forum and can be found at: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10043411 this isn't exactly the thing to do if your poor, but if you have the money to make the initial investment you will start to see some return from it over time.

You kneel down to the shrine of Balthazar when your realm has favor, talk to the avatar and then pay 1k to enter FoW.

Thanks peeps. Just done my first run in FoW as a B/P and got loads of stuff Plus one shard that I sold for 3k. Going back in again later, not as hard as I thought it was going to be.

Cheers.

try doing 8 - man party's first, once you got the hang of that , try solo ( there are a lot of guides for it in the farming forum )

once you get to know where all the areas are, then you should try duoing or even trioing parts of fow then go to solo.
