hiding energy glitch?

i've been doing chest runs with my r/mo and since rebirth takes your energy to 0 i took a custom weaponset to hide my energy before i rebirth someone.

with my 15k canthan (sentry? forget, +10 stance) armor, crimson carapace shield and a +5 defense sword i have 25 energy. normal.

i switch to my +5 energy/ +5 defense katana, i have 30 energy. normal.

i switch to my +5 defense sword, and my frozen fan (-5 energy) and i get 23 energy. wtheck?

going from +5 to -5 should be -10 energy, or 20 energy. i'm guessing this is a glitch unless there are some wierd guild wars mathematics that i am unaware of. and no, i dont meet the req for the +12 energy on the frozen fan.

When you don't meet the requirement for the Frozen Fan (or any other green/crafter/collector item), you get 3 energy. Add that to the -5 energy and you have a net energy loss of -2 energy.

Common mistake, You didnt factor in the energy Frozen Fan GIVES you - like Savio said.
