Assassin vs Hydras

I couldn't find an Assassin solo desert farming build, but I may have by accident. Here's the story:

Our Guild Leader was teaching another Guildie 55 Monk farming. He took her straight into the fire farming Hydra's outside Augury Rock. :P I went along with my Sin just to check things out (she's my girlfriend afterall).

Anyway, the leader let himself die to watch the new 55 go at it. Well, she got the lone Hydra, then went after a group of 3. A minor slip-up later she died after killing one. I thought, "what the heck?".

I took off after the 2 remaining Hydra's and pretty much owned them in no time at all. If someone has posted their own build for Sin Hydra farming, I'd like to take a look at it. I think I'll keep working on my own though. It's a A/E Build using Earth Magic, and I need to experiment a while.

Like I said, this was an accident. But I'll post what I have right now. I was gettin pissed at Ettin farming with my ele (low drops for quite a while) and I thought I'd take my Sin to Beetletun for a run. My skills were mixed up because of general sloppiness, and everything I was carrrying was against melee attacks. Anyway, here it is:

Attributes:
Earth Magic: 9
Dagger Mastery: 14 (major)
Deadly arts: 2 (minor)
Shadow Arts: 9 (minor)
Critical Strikes: 9 (minor)

Armor: Nightstalkers Seitung (Dyed Black :P)

Weapon: Furious Sai of Shelter

Skills:
Shadow Refuge
Jagged Strike
Fox Fangs
Palm Strike (Elite)
Death Blossom
Armor of Earth
Ward against Melee
Res Sig

No flaming because of the build! Like I said, this was an accident, but it worked agains 2 Hydra's easily. I'm tweaking it right now.

Sliver armour.

As Yanman said, get Sliver Armor and drop Wards.

Drop Rez Sig as well, since you plan to solo. Get Black Lotus Strike instead. Also drop Palm Strike and get Seeping Wounds.

With Seeping Wounds and Jagged Strike, you do more health degen, and the monster is hexed, so then you use BLS to do damage and gain energy.

I KNOW about the frickin res! I said it was an accidental, sloppy build. A combination of group skills and an ettin build. Ffs mods, you better close this if no ones gonna read it, and I'll just post my build when it's done. 15 mins in and Hydra's are dropping like flies with the new adjustments.

i say use my 55 sin build that i use to farm trolls, it works just like the monk 55.

i tried a slightly different one about 2 months ago on minotaurs, i didnt like it very much. so i discarded it, i can solo groups of 3 hydras with another build i came up with, i'm too busy to post it atm though.

i might give it a try when i feel like moving my sin over that way :/

but it looks nice and solid. Im sure it would work other places as well

Wow, you take things so personally. Why on earth do you think we don't read? I read your initial post, and your post after Yanman posted.

I don't understand how you can consider advice (Sliver Armor, drop rez, etc.) as flaming.

I never said, "this build sucks" or "you can't kill a bunch of hydras", etc. That would be a flame. I just suggested things for you to try. You said its a slopy build, you also said that its experimental and it just somehow worked. Your inital post build was by accident, thus a work in progress and perhaps some luck involved.

I await eagerly for your finalized build. While I don't farm, seeing a build that can solo hydras and how each skill is used may give me more insight into the Assassin and its possiblities.

Yes I know, I take things personally. Crafted end-game daggers for the +5 energy, threw on furious and +7 warding mods. Also changed to Sliver Armor and Ward against Elements. Through in the runnin thingie for the last one just in case. It all works well, just the typical "don't over-aggro" thing REALLY comes into play. I think I can make this a bit more stable by taking a few suggestions from the friendly folks here who offered their help, but it's working right now.
