program file on disk?

that brings up yet another Nightfall mystery.

Maybe we will get a Cooler login screen music... "(im pretty sure the login screen theme will be the one from the official preview movie) ...or perhaps we will get more music in our games?

quite interesting, really.

I remember when I modded Oblivion to use guild wars music... that was about the time I came back tot he game and purchased Factions.

EDIT-> i post too slow... 90 seconds? Hmmm
I wish i had something to do here at work so I could get my mind off of Nightfall.

Margonite entry from guildwiki-

Quote:
The Margonites were an ancient seafaring human civilization who visited the Crystal Desert 'hundreds of years' before the current time, and predated the Elonians.

In their attempts to achieve Ascension, they constructed towers in order to ascend to the gods, not realizing that it is not by physical means one may ascend. Like all others, the Margonites failed.

At the time the Margonites attempted Ascension, the Crystal Desert was mostly covered in water. Being a seafaring civilization, their architecture is primarily constructed out of (or built to resemble) parts of old ships. Their greatest concentration of settlements appears to have been in the southeast corner of the Crystal Desert near Thirsty River and Destiny's Gorge.

Note: A reference in the Strategy Guide for Guild Wars Factions mentions that there is evidence that the Luxons of Cantha made it to the Crystal Desert. Since the Luxons were seafaring people as were the Margonites, it may be possible that the Margonites and Luxons are the same people or share a common ancestry. However, there is no in-game confirmation of this relationship as neither ship styles nor building styles attributed to the Margonites are closely related to the sights we have in Cantha.

This is on the welcome screen.

Welcome

Ahai, Brothers and Sisters!

As a member of the Order of the Sunspears you are on the path to greatness. there are
many reasons you have been chosen to become a leader of other heroes, to command
your peers and to fight for the greater good of our land. From the wealthy cities of
Vabbi in the north to the great estates and fortifications of Kourna along the river Elon
through to the new settlements and forbidden ruins of Istan, our Order is charged with
seeking out and vanquishing threats to our nation.

The Order of the Sunspears embraces all; Warrior, Elementalist, Mesmer, Necromancer,
Monk or Ranger. It is not a matter of profession, it is a question of faith and of purpose -
a sentiment upheld by all native to our lands, from the god-fearing Dervish warrior
to the fearless Paragon battle commander. Through your own experiences you have
prover yourself a noble and worthy addition to the Order.

The Sunspears have protected Elona for many centuries and to this day are a vital
component in defending this land against marauding beasts, barbaric tribesmen and
raiding corsairs. Yet such efforts are fought in vain when compared to the dangers that
run deep beneath the very surface on which we walk, entrenched in darkness, such
secrets threaten to eliminate the provinces we have watched over since time began.

A Sunspear is ever vigilant and is always prepared to pursue their foes and honour their
sworn oath, no matter the cost. To be a Sunspear is to be a protector of Elona.
Welcome to the Order.

Kormir
Spearmarshal of the Order of the Sunspears

they mention quite a few places and i noticed they dont take assassins or ritualists in their order

'forbidden ruins of istan?'

isnt the PvE preview going to be on the province of Istan? I cant remember if I read that officially or on a rumor...

If so, thats good- because Ive seen enough of the lush greenery... I want desolate, bleak, and foreboding.

I also want black tentacles in my guild hall... I wonder if I can use any of the sigil stones I have stored DURING the event? Im doubting it... but that would be a nice treat./

Cool I shall be inclined to show them the benefits of a Ritualist Emissary Spear Chucker and thus prove my worth. I think I pick up some Emissary armor for my Ritualist for proper spear/ weapon spell use.
