What you are experiencing is called a hard crash, or more commonly known as a BSOD. This means your computer either has something very wrong with it or the game overpowered it.
But, we can't help you unless you give us some specs about your computer. Since you don't seem to know much off hand, could you at least tell us your opporating system to get us started?

First of all, you probably mean 20gb Hardrive, wich is far from "amazing"... If you r computer only came with a 20gb hardrive then chances are it won't run Guildwars...
Wrath Of Dragons

1. Right-click My Computer > Properties
- This Window will show you your Processor, RAM, and Windows version.
2. Right-click you Desktop>Properties. Click the Settings Tab. Click Advanced. Click the Adapter Tab.
- This will show you your video card model and video card memory.
Please post what all the above are on your computer.

Graphics are definitely the weak spot for the Dimension 3000 as it is for most budget systems. It uses the Intel Extreme 2 integrated graphics which has very limited 3D capabilities. To make matters worse, the system lacks and AGP or PCI-E slot for a graphics upgrade. |

True, if you're looking to play games, I'd stay away from prebuilt PCs (Dell, Compaq, IBM etc) and get a custom made rig with at least 1gb RAM, 80GB Hard Disk, a decent video card and other stuff. If you want a good idea of what to get, post and I'll let you know.
PS: Dells are teh suck.
PPS: I have a thing against Dell. They're good for some things, but building a decent gaming rig is not one of them.

ok im back,so i cant do anything to help me!so i have to like sell guildwars off someone?i have a question too,i played WoW before and it didnt do this?

Selling GW is against the EULA. Try running some anti-spyware progrmas. Scan for viruses. Defrag your hard drive.
dantheman23312
ok im going to scan with my scaner, and defrag my comp right now,do u have any more advice to what i should do?
dantheman23312
ya it says i have 24.97 of free gb space after i d loaded guildwars,i also have 64% free space on my comp

see if you can find a PCI (NOT PCI-E) Video Card (preferably ATI or NVIDIA) with at least 128ram on it for sale at your local comp store/or online, Buy it, and follow installation instructions included with it.
It may be difficult to find Pci cards as Agp kinda made them obsolete, and PCI-E is making AGP obsolete.
Something like THIS: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...=84766&CatId=0 Should be able to run Guild wars for you.

BSODs are usually the result of faulty system memory or messed up drivers. Reinstalling the video drivers (newest version) might fix the BSOD. I've no experience at all with GW on Intel integrated so it's just a random suggestion.
Also, see if setting all video quality settings to their minimum changes anything. (If they aren't already, they should be on a system like that.)

to the OP
press F11
choose the Graphics tab and do the following
resolution: 800x600 (its the lowest)
quality: fastest (move the slider to the leftmost)
then set everything else to off/low/none
choose the Sound tab
quality: set the slider to the leftmost
might be able to run the game, i know it works on laptops

With an upgraded video card, even a PCI card, you can run GW OK. Your specs are about the same as mine and I also have an older 1.3ghz Celeron running GW fine. Both have upgraded video cards though, the old one with 128mb of video ram and mine with a PCI card with 256mb ram.
Make sure you have sufficient free disk space as well, My Computer will display it as will a defrag.

You're pretty much stuck. The only REAL option you have is to take that machine to a dell authorized service provider (check the website) and have them stick a video card capable of playing games (and do the maintenance to run better overall). That machine happens to be bottom of the barrel and you being non-computer savy will most likely do more harm then good trying to buy and install a card yourself. And yes it will cost you more then 30 bucks.
Yeah, that machine will play WOW, horribly slow, but it will play. If you were a bit more savy with computers you might even be able to get GW to run longer then an hour on it too, but chances are you have a ton more problems with that computer then it's minimal system specs.

I'm able to play both GW and WoW on my laptop, a P4 2,2 with 512MB RAM and an Intel Extreme 2 'graphics' thingie, which should be a bit slower than your Dell.
However, both are aggrevatingly slow even on the lowest settings (GW a bit worse than WoW.. as long as you stay FAR away from IF/Orgri ). Never got a BSOD tho...

Intel Extreme Graphics 2? Sounds integrated, sound rubbish. Enough said, I'm afraid. You need something like an ATi Radeon or an nVIDIA GeForce, really.
