New Graphics Option?

I logged in and went straight to the graphics panel because ppl have been talking about new looks. I noticed that there was now a scrollbar showing where there wasn't one showing before - I had increased the size of the window previously to remove the scrollbar and display all the options. I figured the re-appearance of the scrollbar either meant the dialog sizes were reset or something was new there. I am not certain, but I do not believe that the Shader Quality was there before was it? It's right under Shadow Quality.

I dont see any changes with that Shadder ON. bah.

The shader quality should affect things like water effects and the jade sea reflections etc, so you'd only really notice on those things I'd imagine. Plus I'd be pretty sure you'd need a restart for the shader changes to take effect.

You don't need a restart for the shader effects to change. A good example of what is changed is the fire on the login screen. Put shader on High and you'll see this heat effect above the fire, turn shaders to Low and that effect disappears right away.

Care to post a pic of the scroll bar you are talking about.

Fire now waves the air around it. I haven't noticed it before or I'm just 100% blind.

The scroll bar just indicates that the form has changed in size due to a new option being added.

After spending many times changing graphics option to get my display to work right, I don't recall seeing "Shader Quality" before...must be new.

Hmm if i try to move the Gamma slider, the game hangs... actually my whole pc seems to crash...

Does this mean that the GW.exe switch -noshaders doesn't work anymore (cuz u can't turn it off on that screen)??? I beleive this is what is causing my PC to crash now.
