I was wondering if it is possible to make a Dire pet/Smite and healing combo as a PvE character build, I really have no ideas for skills/attrbs,but I was thinking maybe (plus charm and comfort animal)2 attack pet spells max beast mast, rest in healing /smite ,which leaves you with 4 spells maybe 2 smiting for extra dmg and last 2 for healing? I am no expert in builds or anything I just thought people or from what ive seen dont care for pets and maybe it would be to cool to base something around that, any tips or anything for such a build?
Thanks

I made one, but it's much for fun much more than efficiency. A successful monk needs his 8 skills. Anyways, here it is:

orison of healing
dwaynas kiss
healing seed (might vary depending on area)
heal party
infuse health/comfort animal (once again, varies, I like infuse on harder areas)
disrupting lunge
ferocious strike (e)
charm animal

I've played THK, Ring of Fire, Abaddon, Hell's Precipice with this build, but like I said, if you want a pet, you won't be able to use your monk to its full potential. And no, don't bring Smiting skills. In PvE, you want to limit yourself to two or three attributes spread (in this case, Beast Mastery, Healing Prayers and Divine Favor).

To use this build to its full potential, you will need to use keyboard a lot: select/attack the right targets, use disrupting lunge correctly, while keeping your party members alive.

It takes some practice, but it's very fun to play. Of course you will not have the healing potential of a monk using all his 8 skills, but with some practice you can easily do better (with better energy management, better decisions, etc)

have fun !

There is a thread in here where I mention mine. Due to the update, not sure how well it will work. I use this with henchies only.

Healing Breeze
Rebirth(for henchies)
bane signet
banish
Shield of judgement
charm animal
comfort animal
balthazars aura

I switch certain skills sometimes, usually the elite, just for fun. What I do is send my pet in with balthazars aura on. If he keeps the aggro, I just heal him and toss down smites. If they manage to get past his body blocking, I toss SoJ on whomever they do go after(myself if I'm with no henchies). This is by no means efficient, but it works for me. Also I only use 3 lines, tossing any extra into Beast Mastery. I don't put any in prot. Maybe this will give you some ideas for a build with more beast attacks. Let us know what you come up with.

I really don't recommend pets on a monk, unless they changed the skill disable when it dies and I missed the memo. Having your whole skillbar disabled is a very bad thing on a monk.

Yeah, even a few seconds without your skills can be totally disastrous, and having to heal your pet too is a big hassle. I personally think that pets and monks do not mix.
