My buddy thinks GW is stale, and they can come up with nothing new, here is an idea.
NEW CONDITION
Confusion:
While under the effects of confusion you have a 20%(maybe high) chance of targeting foes with target ally skills, and you have a 20% chance of targeting allies with target foe skills.
Percentages can be changed.

Interesting; but confusion is in many many games and I think it might make GW feel too much like Final Fantasy which many people would be opposed to.

While under the effects of confusion you have a x% chance of your next attack damaging yourself instead.
Not sure how to word it better but it would be more of an anti attack class type of condition like blind. While you are confused there is a chance that one of your attacks hits yourself instead of the target enemy.

I think if your friend believes Anet is short on ideas, this isn't exactly going to make an impact. They can make several new hexes without applying new conditions, the conditions we have are diverse enough, and neither is a big enough addition to sway an unimpressed friend to this game.
