Australians and Nightfall prerelease pack

argh, ill get nightfall but wont be able to get the pack.

Went into EB in Canberra City today. They did not have pre release pack, and they are giving them to those who preordered for starters, and they will be arriving next week.
EB Australias supplies of the pre release pack went to the city stores in Brisbane, Sydney and melbourne only. Why is this so, hey who knows it is EB

The fellas at Robina on the Gold Coast said they'd have it in, I'll be going in tomorrow so I'll report back when I get home.

Seems there are conflicting reports from various EB outlets across the country, some stores are giving a fair idea, and others (including my local store) seem to be vague and uninformed. *crosses fingers*

You did better than me... Belconnen simply said they couldn't be sure when it got there. But.. last time Civic didn't get any pre orders.

NCSoft seem confident Australia will be getting them, but it's EB, take it with a pinch of salt. Likely, you'll be lucky to find an EB that actually knows what Guild Wars is.

Wow, seems like a lot of people are jumping the same hoops as they put us through last time. I know for a fact that teh Brisbane store has the packs, and NOT just for display purposes this time. They've had them for two days, so why other city stores haven't got them is beyond me.

Sydney city EBs (the larger of the two, in The Galleries Victoria) told me yesterday that they hadn't been told when the packages would arrive.

I carefully avoided mentioning that the street date wasn't until today. 'cause, you know...

Has anyone got theirs yet? We went to EB and pre-ordered out games but they said they had none in stock yet and that they would call when they came in. Problem is EB has always stuffed up this sort of thing so we don't really trust them (my boyf preordered Fear Directors Edition for the bonus stuff and they gave them out to people who bought the ordinary edition so he didn't get one). Plus they didn't have any idea what we were talking about, so that's a confidence builder!

So any Aussies got theirs? Or any advice/stories etc.

I think there is already a thread in here somewhere on this, but to answer your question as soon as possible, SOME Aussie stores already have the pre-order packs. I don't know why some do and some don't, but apparently anything outside Brisbane/Sydney/Melborne has to "order them in", that includes those who are using suburban stores.

My advice: If you live close enough to a city store with them, order it there. Otherwise, due to my normal internet retail Gameplay.co.uk changing their policy on overseas shipping, you will have no choice but to wait till it is released because there are no other stores that will ship games here, that I am aware of.

If someone knows of another online store that happily ships games to Australia, please share.

Come Monday I'll be making phone calls to all my local and surrounding EB's looking for the packs, May even call a few across the state. Or try the states head office.

I've taken the plunge and placed a pre-order for the CE with my local EB store. For the record I do not trust them. My last order (over 3 years ago now) went horribly wrong. As my local store is not a city store, they do not have the pre-order packs yet, but apparently they will call me when they get them. As a side note, the guy who served me was the store manager and had NO IDEA how to use their pre-order system... Watch this space to see how monumentally they screw my order up this time...

I honestly don't think I'll get my pre-order package, EB NZ is run by a bunch of idiots, and I say that from experience having worked for them for 2 years. I inquired at another store RE the pack and the STORE MANAGER said he didn't know that pre-order customers get them, he thought the poster detailing the fact was just a simple Nightfall promo poster.

Idiot.

Just went down to my local EB store in Sydney. They had the posters advertising the prerelease bonus packs on the shelf but when I asked about it they said they had no idea when they'd be getting them.

We Aussies get these things weeks after countries.

Wait a few weeks, it'll come.

Or, if your impaitent: order it from outta the country.

asked them, directed me to syndey, who put me onto brisbane, who told me to contact their uk head office.

finally got an answer.. should be within the next 2 weeks
