Nightfall Prima Guide
FreakTheMad
Anybody knwo the actual release date for this? i have gotten 2 dates so far. Wal-Mart telling me by Oct 3rd, and Barnes & Noble is saying Oct 28th. So i'm confused.
SaucE
I'd say Oct 27, same day as the release of the game. Sometimes it will come out before, usually not after.
FreakTheMad
Okay i was going to edit post but checked Eb Games they say be shipped out on 9/26/06

Those guides are usually horrible and in this day and age they are notoriously wrong and outdated the moment they are available, especially with online-games.
The wiki is far more accurate and constantly updated, but obviously you can't carry it around which is the only good thing about those guides...

i buy the guide knowing that it is out of date before you get it but has a nice ordered book of labeled reference maps.
after the magnificent effort by the devs on the Factions maps which aside from being few small and far between werent even labeled.
no prima guide preorder this time as the devs might improve the maps further by leaving them out.
hell no
FreakTheMad
Well i mostly get it because of the Map. easier to look at the map. the skills and stuff yeah i know outdated like crazy. Just very confused with it all. I called local book store here (Hastings) and they can't find it in computers for any release. so i'm like wtf lol.
EternalTempest
I will "flip" through it at the store to look at how well the mission / quest information is. I agree with guildwiki is better resouce but I do perfer the nice printed "offline" maps too look at it.
FreakTheMad
Okay checked Amazon.com and this is what came up
"Availability: This title will be released on October 3, 2006. Pre-order now. Ships from and sold by Amazon.com."
So guessing the 3rd? lol

it's not like the info in the guides are so compleatly wrong that it would never be of any help ever. its still quicker to look up the skills in the book than it is on wiki.

These guides are worthless, not only are there typos EVERYWHERE, but info is ALWAYS wrong (and not because of updates and crap)...pictures are all off, its worthless, unless you collect them for your own purposes...otherwise its not worth getting at all...at...all...
Knightsaber Sith
I've seen several release dates for the guide but Oct 3 is the one that comes up the most. I'll be checking Bestbuy on Oct 3 and if they don't have it yet; I'll just go back later
I know the guides are useless but I always buy them for the sake of collecting GW periphenalia.

dont believe me? try to find the original Prophecies guide for under $50 used and ripped up with no map even.
although dont get me wrong-> if people are getting it for the skill info, maps, etc etc (the info that counts) you will be better off just waiting until its on guildwiki and the fan sites. Its probably already in print, which means it may or may not even be correct for next weekend.

glad to see you and hope you are getting back into *civilization* smoothly without some of the bumps i am familiar with
and i still like the unkle scrooge in the land of the pewegas
or the money contest that finished with him winning by his first dime and the length of string holding it
EDIT FOR THOSE WHO DONT KNOW
Quote:
Although he often recalls his early days as a sharp-eyed prospector or a shrewd trader, Scrooge emerges as a tycoon in spite of himself. When a crisis arises, he relies on Donald and his nephews to solve it. Aided by the encyclopedic "Junior Woodchuck's Guide Book," Huey, Dewey and Louie rescue Donald and Scrooge: They concoct the noxious Oxide of Strombolium pill that debilitates the giant King Sturgeon in "Land of the Pygmy Indians," and capture the lemming that inadvertently steals the combination to Scrooge's money bin in "The Lemming With the Locket." |

Well i didn't make this topic and ask to start problams. sorry if it had. just was curious for my own reasons of wanting the Guide. bought the 1st and 2nd already. just wanted the 3rd also for my own reasons. So ty Sith for getting the answer i was basically looking for.
Pepsi Jedi
I'll probably break down and buy this one. Much of the information will be correct. (( I know... not all)) but the stuff that is, will help and I'll be getting it as much for the art and pictures as the walk though.
