Wondering About the "Ignore" List

I have a few questions I guess;

Putting a person on ignore; does this mean I can't "hear" them whisper or can't hear them at all? If I put a person on ignore will the chat then ignore whispers from all characters on that account?

If it turns out that the person is a guild mate I was unaware of will having him on ignore make me not be able to see his guild chat?

Thanks for any help with these!

Said person cannot be heard on all chats or from all his chars. Even his emotes don't show =)

Also, if somebody's giving you hell in a town, add them to your list, wait a few seconds and then take them off. You might catch them going off it in Local. =D

So I shouldn't even be able to see his Guild Chat then?

LOL, I take it you've had this experience before?

Yep. Got sick of his idiocy so I told him how much an immature brat he was and ignored him. Waited half a minute before removing him from the list and:

"U R TEH CHILD FOR INGORING ME!"

just a question why are you putting up with something like that from a guildie?, if you're having problems with someone in your guild, why not simply talk to one of the officers or guild leader about him, and have them talk to the person about calming down, then if he doesn't ask the guild leader to talk to the other officers and anyone else in the guild that's on at the same time and see if they all agree if this person is annoying or not and then take decisive actions after the guild leader and officers talk about it, and simply remove the person from the guild.. you paid for the game, you shouldn't have to put up with the immaturity of others, if they are bothering you it's simple.. kick them, there are some 1 million copies of guildwars sold.. that's alot of people who play the game, shouldn't have to worry 1 or 2 bad apples when there's another million or so out there playing the game as well. that's just my thoughts.

You know what? You are really SO very right! I'm just not sure that others are being annoyed by this person and I don't want to be a whiner! *L* I think it might just be a personality thing for us so I wanted to try and handle it as maturely as possible without upsetting everyone else. I thought if I could use ignore to just keep our contact to a minimum but still be able to hear guild talk it would keep me acting responsibly as a member of the guild without causing a hassle. Guess I'll have to see what works out. If it gets to be too much then I'll leave the guild. Thank you though, I really respect and appreciate what you had to say!

Ok, can someone tell me.. is it possible for someone to be a member of your Guild yet not show up on the roster??

No..once they join the guild they get added, even if they turn their status to "offline" they will still show up on the roster.

Ok, I can't figure this out then. By a complete fluke I ran into this ranger sporting my Guild name (you know how it is visible when you're in the same place) and asked who he was... he was very evasive. We are an EXTREMELY small guild and no one seems to know who this "mystery ranger" is; how can that be???

Dunno..

Guild tags can be copied..but if his tag is showing as yellow means he has to be in the guild

There was a situation where someone in the boss guild of my alliance temporarily found himself in another guild, but it sorted itself out after a short while, maybe this happened too...

[EDIT] If you don't mind my asking, what is your guild? The guy I mentioned was a ranger.
