in the pre release bonus pack, there is a 10 hour/14 days key, does that mean, that you have to buy the normal guildwars nightfall game to play when those 1hour of 14 days have expired?

Nice try, but the 10 hour / 14 day key is for Prophecy/Factions ONLY (for people who don't already own it.

If you already own GW, give the code to a friend.

You won't be able to play Nightfall until Oct. 27, and you'll need the Retail version, unless Anet does a "headstart" like they did for Factions (which I doubt, because we've heard nothing about it.)

the key is actually for a preview of factions and prophicies. you wont actually get to play the nightfall preview unless you already have the game by september 22nd for the in game pve event.

2. If you dont have extra character slots, you can make a separate account to try it out (just dont go putting in any codes into it, use them for YOUR account!!!!)

Why is it all the stores in Oklahoma never have anything related to Guild wars on time. When I called to ask about the Pre release bonus pack, they had no clue what I was talking about. Heck, the EB store's last PC Gamer magazine they had was March 2006. CURSE the poorly managed stores I live near!!!!!!

The only time you can play Nightfall before the official release is the Nightfall World Preview Event:

The event happens on the September 22 - 24, 2006, weekend.

Start: 12:01 a.m. PDT on the 22nd (= 7:01 a.m. GMT)
End: 11:59 p.m. PDT on the 24th (= 6:59 a.m. GMT on the 25th)

(Unless I'm misunderstanding you. Are you talking about the bonus weapons only? Because those are available to any of your characters when you enter the pre-release key.)

But that's it. Not the bonus slot, no special Nightfall access, just the bonus weapons (which are really only good for show, since you don't have the abilities to use them fully).

What?!? No, no, no! You need to buy the full retail version of Nightfall! I don't know how else to explain it.

The Bonus pre-release pack is just that, a Bonus with special weapons and an extra Character slot (activated when you buy the full version of Nightfall). The pre-release pack is NOT the full game!

It sounds like you got some sort of package deal.

In that case, you'll be able to play Nightfall when the full version of the game is delivered to your house.

Maybe next chapter, ArenaNet will just call the pre-sale kit a bonus package or something... people still cant figure it out and its been like a month since weve had the details.
