GW Nightfall bonus key not working... And I can't get any help!

The weird thing is that i did get the items the first day on my characters with /bonusitems but now i do not get them. maybe they are blocked now till nightfall or maybe they are buged I just wait and see i gues.

I would just like there to be some mention in the key management window that it was successfully entered.
I entered it - saw the warning, clicked Add anyway, no bonus items (don't really care anyway), but no indication if the key will grant me my slot when I add a full retail Nightfall key.

Let me preface this post by saying that I have not picked up a pre-order pack because the employees at the EB near my house are denying it's existance.
I don't want to insult anyone by suggesting this, but when I put in my preorder key before Factions officially came out, I was pissed that the bonus items didn't appear. But I soon realized that they only spawned if you were outside of town (or was it inside, I'll have to go back and check). In either case, it was very specific to being in the right location for it to pop up. So I suggest trying that. Maybe when those who didn't get the items tried it, they were in the wrong spot and concluded that their keys didn't work, while those who did get their items were in the right spot by chance and therefore could not offer up anything more than the fact that the keys do in fact work. Worth a shot?

They'd be shut down overnight.
The Key Works, I have the items, they just locked it untill PvE. As for the CD Not having any files, It may be defective and you CAN exchange it.

Like I've said in so many other thread; the bug was that anyone (like you and me
) was able to spawn the weapons at all. Not that people can't spawn them now. And they patched that bug after a few hours.

Thanks for the reports. We're aware of two things: The error message (the words for which I believe are in error 
) and the fact that the bonus items are not on your account.
In the case of the message, we used to say "The event hasn't started" or "These items are not yet available." If we did not/do not intend for the items to be available until either (1) the World Preview Event or (2) the release of Nightfall, then I imagine we'll modify the message to let you know that.
Edit to Amend (due to "breaking news" ): In the case of the bonus items actually being accessible and usable and then becoming inaccessible, Knightsaber Sith just linked me to an image that clearly calls out that the items are intended "upon activation of a Nightfall retail key." So, like the bonus character slot, you will need to wait until you add your Nightfall (full game, not PBP) retail key and then you can acquire the items.

Anyways I went a little too far calling them scammers, that was meant as target anger for happened to me; as well as that one guy calling out people as being “dense.” However it would have been nice to have seen this in writing, before we put in the key; thinking we might at least get the one character slot ahead of time. At least for myself I know that probably was not going to happen, but it would have been nice to at least see this bonus key appear under the “mange key window.” However I do not believe giving the retailers the option to sell the pre-release package (for what ever dollar amount) the best action, if you think about it, we might not have these problems we are having now. Especially since some of the retailers taking well advantage of the issue and selling them for over a standard rate of $10; also the fact that these keys will only be activated when the primal release of nightfall is due (and after entering the main retail version key).

Actually they had announced that you wouldn't get the character slot til you added a retail key a few weeks before the bonus pack went on sale.

Yes you did say that; and I never said you didn't. But I never commented on that. I agree that it would be nice if it did show up in the key management section. But I'm just saying there was no reason to think you'd get the one character slot ahead of time as it had been confirmed you'd need the full retail version to unlock it from the first press release announcing the bonus pack.

It would be nice; but frankly it seems pointless and unnecessary to me. Sure it would put you at ease if you saw for a fact it was there; but at the same time it seems pointless for the devs to waste their time on that when their time could be better spent doing so many other things. If you hit add and not cancel; you know it's added and there's no need to worry. But in the end; I really don't care and either way I'm not worried about it.

Well now you admit that developers could care less about people in general and should just make what ever polices they want to make (sort’ a like EA games). Like for instance Lucasarts has yet to respond to my question about why one of their, own PC games can’t install (it’s verily new mind you and it’s been 1 week). However I got someone’s help to install the game without any third party downloads and stills nothing from Lucasarts (this problem is wide spread through the community). So A-net should be the same way, is that what your saying?

Yeah, what Archon said... that and, IF you already added the key prior to the Nightfall release, will you still get the bonus slot and items? Or are you completely boogered? However I am pretty much done; since some people are non-intellectual and can’t stand simple debates, over certain issues (no that was not targeted at you Knightsaber). Yeah i got the same thing with the key. So it seems across the board that the key appears to do nothing... Mine doesn't say anything in the key managment window either.
