With new armor that they'll be adding for them, new weapons will probably be added for the Rit and Sin professions. Finally, they show some of us who doubted new content for the Rit and Sin that we were wrong.

Those who think Anet wouldn't continue to support Sin and Rt must not have much business sense. Factions was released as a stand alone product so that those who didn't own Profecies could jump right into the game with the rest of the players. Releasing a new expansion (Nightfall) without support for Factions characters would completely alienate the players who only own Factions, ultimately causing losses in product sales for Nightfall. Sin and Rt are part of the "core" classes now and will be treated as such. I am confident that Anet will cover there Assassins and Ritualists if not for any other reason than to make more money and keep the players happy.
I also expect that any future game releases of Guild Wars will contain new content for the Paragon and Dervish for the same reasons.

The thing is people who own Factions only aren't limited to making rits and sins, they can make any of the core classes. Those core characters will be supported by Nightfall. Factions-only owners are only slightly aliented by a discontinuation of support for special classes, they're free to take their core characters to Elona.
Sin and rit are *not* core classes, there's no guarantee they will get anything further. Thankfully it looks like Anet will not be completely ignoring them in the future, we'll just have to wait and see how much support they get.

I remember seeing the same Elementalist armor design in the character creation screen when they accidently added in Elonian characters. I know there is thread somewhere in here with pictures of it. So, basically the picture on the site is showing new armor for the Canthan professions (Rit/Sin).

There are in total 12 different heroes. Three of them (KOSS, TAHLKORA, and MAGRID THE SLY) are listed at the top of that page. Considering there are 12 heroes; and only ten characters in that picture; with three of the heroes definitely not in that picture; I'd venture that none of those are heroes but just generic characters to show the new armors.
Well, I hope to be pleasantly surprised then. I like to avoid disappointment, I try not to get my hopes up about things that Anet doesn't state clearly and literally. I think a lot of us remember all those fiascos over character slot math and Gaile's "wait and see before you complain," etc. etc.

YES, there will be new armor for Assassins and Ritualists (everything else would be stupid regarding the game mechanics of having a sequel of add-ons of which each one introduces new professions) !
Just scroll down and have a look at the picture that's including all professions:

What do we see? -- Exactly. Just as Nightsaber already posted.
So, why are some ppl here always assuming the worst and also zealously trying to convince others of their beliefs?
I'm glad this discussino is finally over... now I'm waiting for next "No, there's never gonna be [...]" one! What's it gonna be?
