Hi, it seems when ever i turn i lag like nutz- my computer is defintly able to handle ne game out at high graphics(this does it at ne settings)
Amd 64 4600 X2
Nvidia 7800 GT X2
4 gigs of ram
74.3 10k rpm
100 mbps lan connection- only to my computer and my 360-

I play every other game at highest graphics and no lag ne where(in Wow, i would only get 40 fps in orgrimmar(the main city where most computers lag like nutz/lock up- on highest settings.)

Ive defragmented, reinstalled guild wars, tried disabling wait for vertal sync, and for some reason i cant update my drivers for my graphics card- current version 77.77- when i try to install the new ones it doesnt do ne thing. Idk if thats the problem and i do have direct x 9.0c installed. Can some one help me please

How much lag are we talking about? Can't move, choppiness, graphical weirdness, ...?

When was the last time you updated your dx9? There's a new version from august you might want to get.

I just installed the direct x now- and the graphical problem is choppyness. when ever i try to install the new nvidia driver- current one i have installed 7.7.7. it doesnt show up in the nvdia display, and when i install it through device manager- it shows the update there and says i need to restart my comp- i restart it and nothings changed- on the nvidia display it still says 7.7.7. and in device manager it seems it went back to 7.7.7. i have a hunch that that is the problem. oh yeah i have sli enabled too. can u use ne other graphic renders for guild wars or does it have to be direct x?

hence why I hate nVidia, the drivers (specially when updating) are CRAP as hell.. whilst some people will have no problems, or issues, others will have no end of troubles with the cards and drivers..

heres some things to try...
A) get the NVRemove tool (from the nVidia Website) and totally remove ALL drivers, past and present, and then install the latest drivers ( so your not installing over old ones ) - once done, install the latest DirectX (Aug 06 edition)

B) Failing A (or if you cant find NV Remove) - get DriverCleaner, and do the same..

C) If you have done that, update your motherboard drivers, and AGP Gart drivers (part of motherboard drivers) etc.

NVRemove.exe should already be in your C drive, it should come with the nvidia drivers when you install them. Make sure you remove the drivers with NVRemove, or remove everything that says NVidia from the add/remove programs list (same thing) before you try installing new drivers...
