Sigils, bought and won

Hi, I've heard an unsettling rumour that bought sigils (from trader or player) do not show the guild eblem on the flags in the guild hall, whereas sigils won (in HoH) do. Can anyone please clarify this? Thanks

It is true. If your guild leader wins the sigil in HoH then uses it to get a hall; flags appear. If you buy it from the npc or someone else; they don't.

the flags should show the emblem no matter what way too go stupid rank gets a pat on the back one again!

Thats rather disappointing to learn. It would be nice to have flags with our emblem in our hall, but we are a PvE only guild.

Instead I think it's a pretty nice thing... You get a little goodie for actually deserving a sigil; don't see anything wrong at all with that.

In that case there should be PvE sigil's, Completing the games to easy thou...meh there most prob something worthy

I saw this in the wiki article and had the guild try it out; apparently there isn't a change. Unless I'm missing something crucial here, the emblems and flags show in battle and don't show when you're not in battle.

i think you should have some extra sort of feature in your hall if the sigil was won, and if not, then you still have just the flags

I thought so, wiki has been known to have incorrect information. The perils of having a database anyone can alter .
