Full Tyria Solo Tour

I'm having a hard time in Grenth's Footprint. Once I pick up the High Priest, Grenth's Balance becomes useless. I can kill everything okay except the bosses. With them, it's just knocking each other around. Should I just leave him?
Also, I noticed in some of the pics for Grenth's Footprint you have different builds. Should I not try to clear the whole place at once?

If you replace Distracting Blow with Sprint(run past Guardians in 5th lvl), you can easily Solo the "Mission" but not Glint. The elementalist lvl is probably more hard than Glint, I recommend to slap on Sentinals armor and have a +10 vs earth +30 hp shield with +30 pommel and no superior sword, takes skill.

Kill everything (with Alkar 'attached') first until only the boss is left. Then, if you take sprint. you can run away from the boss fairly easily, once you lose his aggro talk to alkar and leave him at a safe distance (so he won't heal you) Go back to the boss on your own and then you can use grenths balance and take the boss out without Alkar getting in the way.

That's the exact way to do it

I was just reading over your OP, and I read the spider farming build, and I'd say the directions are a little unclear. Like, when u get to the cave, if you charge the 3 dryders, then you get mobbed by like 20 spiders. I still like the build though mines different, but still nice.
RoadKill97
An excellent guide I have to say, but this part bothers me:

I did finish the mission but it's quite a long time ago. I remember that the Dolyak Boss got killed by the mursaat since I can't lure all the mursaat at once. I still remember the time that I killed the mursaat before they reached the Dolyak Boss. You won't be able to finish the mission then.
RoadKill97
The location of Darda Goldenchief (the Dolyak Master boss) used to be random, but it's fixed location now, so that explains few things. The Mursaats can't reach nor kill him anymore, because of the catapult fire, and thus it's currently impossible to finish Ice Caves of Sorrow by soloing.
Witte Was
hm..I didn't know that. Maybe I can switch a skill with something like Distracting Blow to disrupt his healing skills. I should try it out sometime
Thanks allot for the information! I'll change it soon.

Maybe, the fat thing stands in catapult fire, I remeber killing the monk boss in Iron mines of moladune by doing that.
RoadKill97
It's possible to lure him to catapult fire, thought I'm not sure would it be enough to kill him. He had another Dolyak Master in his group when I tried to solo this mission (months ago), and together they were strong enough to survive.
Witte, Distracting won't do, you'll have to disable his healing.

Witte Was
Yeah that's true..I'll just keep it to the original build and try to lure him to the catapults next time. I'll take a sleep now.
moenbase
Problem with that Monk Boss is also that, if there is any Mursaat still alive...which happens quite a lot recently. Then the Dwarves won't engage the Mursaat. Right after the bridge the Mursaat stops going further. They just wander there a bit. Even into the agro range of the Dwarves. But nothing will happen.
I've seen this thing happen quite often. Not sure why that is.

Already been done. I remember a long time ago, someone posted a build to solo Maw the mountain heart.
I believe it was something like this:
Charge (E)
Sprint
Balanced Stance
Dolyak Signet
Deadly Riposte
Riposte
Healing Signet
I am not sure about the excact skill setupt, nor what the last skill used was. I do remember that it was a riposte build.

Solo Maw the Mountain Heart is a challenge but not big enough
I'll solo everything of Dreadnought's Drift right now!

Holy smokes, very nice work.
It's handy to have all these solo builds in one spot, too.
Good luck on your further endeavors, and thank you for sharing this with the community. I'm sure everyone appreciates it.

Update! Check out the bottem of the page. W/Rit Solo the Forest of the Wailing Lord, it can also take the Abyssals and Shadow Rangers at the Tower of Courage.

I haven't done it in a long while, but I'll get on my warrior, dust off my old build, and see if I can post a SS.

I've soloed Darda before with my W/Mo, so I'm pretty sure that this still can be done, especially with Evennia in tow.
Witte's build definitely cannot solo Darda due to the lack of an interrupt.
A very well timed Disrupting Chop >>> Darda, FYI.

I was checking out the new update and checking your screenhots, you kept mention "distract their troll ungent" but had no Distracting blow on your skillset (in the screenshots) and i was like O_o WTF? ... but alas, the n00b in me decided to check the skillset before the screenshots and there it was :P
Witte Was
LOL yeah
I forgot Distracting Blow when testing the build and making the screenshots. Will change it soon

At the beginning of your thread, you posted that you could solo Dragon's Lair.
Any chance you want to do a write-up about that? Would be awfully excellent.
By the way, thanks for the W/Rt Forest farm. I've been doing it with my R/Me, and ound it aggravating. Hadn't thought of going so strongly Rt like you did. Good idea.
And here I thought I was out of FoW forever. Damn Anet for nerfing Knights Boots AFTER I get FoW version.

posmo
in your FoW forest guide, in the screenshots, you use a long sword and the exalted aegis.. what are the stats on the longsword(s) you use?
Witte Was
For the run I use one with a +30 health pommel because of the heavy degen you might get. When I'm in combat, I use a Zealous Longsword of Defense (1/-1 and + 5 armor) Although, when I fight the Sephreds, I take the one with the +30hp since I may not come in melee range

Whoops - misread this. I don't pass up the prison, I follow the storyline, so there's no need to take on the massive group of Mursaat.

Jetdoc
By the way, can you tell that Disrupting Chop is one of my favorite skills?

Witte Was
Update: Added the full guide of the W/Rit Forest of the Wailing Lord! It's insane
I can even kill the Skeleton Army in the Forest!

manager
pssst, Witte, you're using Soothing Memories instead of Weapon of Warding. Quick, change the skill listing before anyone sees!

Btw, are you still using those attributes? Wouldn't help to have more Strength for a bigger Dolyak ?

'Huh what I don't see any Weapon of Warding
Thanks m8
I still use the same tactics, I've full restoration since I really like the high damage / healing gained by Vengeful Was Khanhei

oh..i meant decreasing Tactics since it's only being used for WY & Healing Sig. With Soothing Memories you(we :P ) now have another heal method so is there really a need for that high tactics?
I'm still a n00b at this(2 months) so disregard my question if it sounds too pathetic
