the mystery of wizard's tower
taskumatti
I think everyone (who have access to tyria) have visited the Kessex peak, and stopped watching the flying tower for a while (well, at least i stopped there.) the tower is a big mystery, so i decided to start searching information about it. Here is what i found about it:
in the quest the villany of galrath you have to kill the galrath and his organisation, galrath is trying to get inside wizards tower. here is the words of the guy who gives you the quest:"Galrath must be stopped! If he gains whatever secrets are locked within the Wizard's Tower, gods be merciful, I know not who to trust within the Lionguard. So many I thought beyond reproach were still loyal to him. I need an outsider to find Galrath and put an end to his villainy. You are the only one who has a chance of defeating him."
And when you go there without the quest, u will end up to find people who follow necromancer called Verata(that you find at the place where galrath was in the quest.) Cult of Verata (name of this group) also tries to get in wizards tower. Both of these are pretty famous persons in guild wars world from skills like:Verata's aura, Verata's sacrifice, Verata's gaze and Galrath's slash.
I am very intrested that what lies inside the wizard's tower, why do people try to get inside it? and is any normal wizard of tyria so powerful that can keep this huge fort floating in air like that?
I would like to get a quest to finnish this mystery, or even better, an event for tyrians who have visited Lion's arch.(All those who don't have factions are surely bored to tyria cause every event that we have recently seen have been in cantha.)
Anyone with me?
(sry for my bad english, i hope you understand. )

Sorry, they said they won't add content for old chapters.
Carth`
Yes! I always hoped they would explain it some more in an expansion. But sadly I don't think they will add anything to Tyria now. It's not profitable for ANet with their business model.
For anyone who didn't see it, there's a picture on GuildWiki.
It reminded me of the Ministry of Truth hovering above Vivec in Morrowind.

The truth itself
Nice spot.
I've also been there and wondered a bit.
Have you tried searching GWwiki for information?
They should deffinenly finish this mystery.

I do hope they would add something about it.
Maybe in a future expansion pack?
There are still so many open ends in Tyria

This castle can be seen from Fisherman's Haven aswell.

Maybe when Ascalon is restored.

I can see some potential loose ends that might get tied up in Nightfall dealing with this tower. They never do really exclaim what the deal is with the tower itself, just that some pretty important and powerful individuals are trying to get to it and learn "it's secrets". I find it funny that the lionguard expresses no interest in the tower itself, just that we protect it. Perhaps they know all about it?
I think it would be really cool to run into Verata again, though. He seems to be able to escape death multiple times, and now might be tied in with some magic from Elona (the floating tower). Oooh juicy!

what about the only remains from the explosion in the kingdom of orr?? the last of the high counsel of wizards met up before the charr attacked and when the undead flooded the kingdom and the place exploded they casted some sort of ritual that made a barrier from them being turned into undead. the result from the ritual caused them to go mad with all the death they saw and stay in the castle waiting forthe gods to come back to tyria (it does say the gods abbandoned tyria in prophecies)
well theres my unplanned out suggestion

Although I have pondered this castle a few times, the one near Beetletun that you are seperated from by the shalowest of water is the one I really want to find lore about, i spent a day trying toget accross before I found out you can't...

Just because Anet has said they aren't going to add content, doesn't mean they can't change their minds and finish some of the mysteries that still remain in Tyria.
They definitely need to come out with an expansion to Prophecies. Sell it for about 29.99 and I'm sure a lot of players would buy it.
More quests, items, maybe a few areas, but surley answer some of the questions that have plagued players since April 2005!

mm... id say that adding quests that would require owning all of the campains would have some value as ppl might want to buy the older campains aswell... something to tie them together as weve seen vary little use in combining the games other than getting all skills in one character... i would like to see some stuff that once youve finished the game u would get quests like from factions, say u find out that am fah assassins are getting support from someone powerful from tyria, and as u have been there and know places more than common canthans u are asked to help... so u go to tyria to get to the root of the problem...
ok that was cheap but jst a 3 minutes worth of thinking what can be expected... tho id say that if they put their minds to it they could come up with a whole line of quests... promoting ppl to buy all the campaigns. and a small token for ppl who actually did
needless to say u wouldns c these if u didnt own the campaigns for it so if u get a quest u can do it...

btw Gwen rules to wizzards tower with her superior mage skills. Veratta is her vizier and Ol Mac and Joe guard the gates.

I would imagine they will get back to Tyria sometime in the when it comes around. What does the NF mean?

Ahh! It just hit me! What if the tower is Vizier Khilbron's current residence (well, current at that point in the story)? It would make perfect sense why the White Mantle would want to 'seek out it's secrets', or more likely to destroy it with him inside, and why Verata would be seeking entrance to it thereafter. After all, Khilbron is a mighty wizard, and a masterful necromancer!
If Verata knew about him and his true intentions all along, he might be trying to serve or overthrow him. Either way, he'd want to get close to him, and try to learn his power.

arcanemacabre, that really would explain all of this. why linguard dont try to get into tower and white mantle+verata try to get inside the tower! and khilborn really is a powerful wizard that lived in kryta. I didnt even think about that.

ahh... ive almost forgot about gwen... wonder if anet has aswell as weve seen nothing of her in factions
