A Contradiction I've noticed.

For example a farmer could: -
*Farm Elona Minos for 15 mins
*Farm Drok Trolls for 15 mins
*Farm Hydras for 15 mins
*Farm outside Tascas Demise for 15 mins
*Farm Giants and Griffons outside Seekers Passage (I think) for 15 mins
*Farm UW for the period of time it takes to do 2 Smite runs
*Spider farm in FOW
*Farm Giants in Drednoughts Drift & Snakes Dance

I havnt even mentioned Factions areas.

Therefore it does not prevent you farming as you can farm in various areas for ages.
Not to mention switching CHARACTERS.

A good farmer doesnt only have 1 character to farm with.

I farm with my monk, then i switch to my war, then i trap UW when we have favor or i solo FoW. I also kill ice imps with my ranger when i feel like relaxing.

Then theres chest running, farming high end missions, farming for greens.

A real farmer doesnt really worry about anything if you do a variety of things.

Things a bot cannot do.

Lol this thread is going in circles.

Gaile stated Anet doesn't mind people farming. {Fact} Gaile isn't allowed to lie, candy coat her answers yes, lie no

Gaile stated there is no Anti-Farming code, the code is there to hinder bots therefore it is an Anti-Bot code because its job is to hinder Bot like activities.

If you trigger the Anti-Bot code then its your own fault.

All cleared up with simple logic.

Here is what i think people are trying to get at. Example: I like to do Tombs runs with my ranger, something a bot cannot possibly do. But after 1 successful run or 2 botched runs with noobs that say they are exp'ed. The drops go right to the toilet. 3 to 4 successful runs and u get the ever popular anti botting -move along there is nothing to see here- *Hint message*. If ANET is ok with farming or grinding then this should never happen. Only in areas where bots can bot. They are targeting me trying to save for FOW armor when i actually like doing tombs runs which once again cannot be botted. So they are saying one thing and doing another.

rangers can bot there actually. all a ranger has to do is target same as anouther ranger and hit barrage, once ina while comfort animal.

me myself whitnessed a ranger bot and a healer bot in there. i opened a thread about it a long time ago so i wont bother to look it up, but yes its possible because every run is the exact repetition of the previous run

Why can't I farm flesh golems in perdition rock with aoe spells like I used to do ? What about gryphons ? Wtf happened to protective bond ? Wtf are thoses nighmare doing in UW ? Why when I cast balthazar aura, the ennemies start running away ? (funny think to do : body block one, use aura of balth, we will actually... stand and not even attacking you...)

Why do they report account sellers on ebay, and let gold sellers with 10,000k+ feedback ?

They have obviously and clearly an anti farming policy.

Anyway, leave the farming alone, it's really worthless, and start buying low selling high (in other words : exploiting noobs) if you want to make money.
Because seriously, why do you think the high end sellers are always the same ? because they're lucky ? lol.
The more you become rich, the more you earn money.

What if you're right? What if secretly ANet wishes you to stop (solo) farming and start playing the game? It's their game. Easy farming should not be your right. And face it, farmers are just a strain on the system. It wrecks the economy and takes resources away from players who might be looking to actually have fun. Tried to form a group in Imperial Sanctum lately? It's mostly impossible. Everyone there is there for one reason alone: chest runs.

And you're not right. The changes you mention are designed to make PvE more challenging. Yes, this means that unskilled farmers will have a suckier time, but GW has always been (at least nominally) a game that rewards skill. Do you know how mind numbingly easy (and boring) PvE used to be when echo firestorm was all you really needed? It's still mind numbingly easy and boring because SS is still an "I win" skill.

Because of changes to reduce it from a viable mindless farming spot. There are others that have risen in prominence in response.

See above. Mindless farming has been weakened, a hit against bots but in no way a hit against serious farmers.

Standing around being harmless to farmers with a semblance of skill.

Now you have to think a little more. It's not like SS and SoJ don't still remain devastating.

Saying Anet has an anti-farmer policy because they nerf mindless areas while retaining more complex areas is like saying Anet is anti-pvp because they nerfed iway.

If you aren't atrocious at farming and dispose of your loot properly, you can make money without any knowledge of merchanting. Merchanting will be stronger, in every game, but saying that farming is worthless is just a cosmic display of ignorance.

and those rich farmer bots are really going to take a paycut when the new salvaging system including those inherent modifiers hits with Nightfall.
