Storage Upgrade in Nightfall?
Puddingbroodje
is there gonna be another storage upgrade?
just like in factions we got a tab for the crafting materials.
Do you think we get another storage upgrade?

The next update would probably be a size increase. There hasn't been anything announced on the subject though.

I personally think it will be a personal storage to each PvE Char, and a main storage to the account
But runes/dye/key/collectable drops/ Tab would be excellent

Lord Darkforge
I fully support that idea, especially run+dye one =)

A while back there was mention of an "armor rack". I think even Gaile used her powers of confusion to hint at it herself. Of course that might've been just to please those who were begging for it.
If there is another storage upgrade, though, I wouldn't put it too far off that it might be an armor rack. So basically I guess if they did implement an armor rack it might be like room for 4 armors if it's across all characters, and maybe room for two armors if each character has an individual armor rack.
I think the collectable drops tab would be too impractical to implement. I don't think many people have a huge load (like 10 seperate stacks) of collectable drops like troll tusks or w/e. Sometimes I'll hoard a few diff types of collectable drops, but that's only temporarily and then I'll go back to not having any collectable drop stacks for a while.

the easiest to implement would be a collectables tab.
by chapter 3 there will be more taking up general slots .
every general slot freed up from a collectable becomes available for armor
halloween had 4 or 5 with helm
winterday had what about a dozen?
dragon festival had at least 4 including mask
tengu for 1
Nightfall events plus any different chapter specific winterday gifts?
that is 20 minimum maybe more slots freed up which is at least 4 armor sets

I'm really hoping for weapon and armor storage too. Each of my chars' inventory is starting to fill up. :|

A tab for collectible drops would be wonderful, as would a solution for keys (likely an additional tab). Its become quite difficult to keep a wide variety of either of these.
Linksys
If there is another storage upgrade, I don't think it would matter to me what kind it is. As long as it adds up to more space in some way. The materials tab frees up a LOT of space. Just look at how many different materials there are. Now you can have at least one of each and it won't affect your regular storage space.
The more expansions come out, the more characters we're gonna have. And you can buy extra character slots. A dozen characters in one account cannot share one storage box, even for aside weapons and armor, so Anet actually needs to increase the space for us.

Mordakai
Storage for mini-pets? I mean, at this point, it would only free up 2 slots for me, but eventually it would help.
or, would it just encourge people to "collect the all"?

Arcane Guardian
I have to agree with Linksys. At the rate Anet plans to create new expansions, we will need more storage space in general. Ideally, later they could give us separate storages for individual characters or just double the storage space. Dont really care about what the real upgrade will be as long as it adds space just as Linksys said in his post.
lightblade
Nope that's a Factions only thing, as Xunlai are guild of Cantha. You get skill templete feature in Nightfall
Commander Ryker
I like the idea of rune/key/dye storage. What I would really like is if we could stack runes in storage or our inventory.

Here is only two type upgrades.
1. Available to everybody.
2. Available to one chapter but carry to other chapters too once you got that chapter (Storage comes even to Tyria you know).
However, I want event item storage.
Mister_Smiley
i beleive that the next thing they plain to put out its auction house, but that will be sometime after Nightfall comes out. I would love to see more storage as well, but right now, most likey down the line.
Puddingbroodje
you mean they are planning an auction dude? just like the merchant and stuff?
where did you get it from do you have any sources?
man i hope that there is an auction in nightfall!
i must agree with linksys, the more chars, the more stuf, armor, weapons and mini-pets. There isn't enough space for all...

Diablo???
Armor Storage pls!
llsektorll
i would like to see a very rare item that costs alot to increase your storage... that would be worth grinding for.
mikkel
The next storage upgrade I would like to see is for them to make either bags or boxes that you can store in your storage locker. Each bag or box would take up one slot, but could hold five or ten items, and could only contain items while in storage. Wouldn't replace bags on characters like that, but would instead be like a bag for your storage. They could sell for 5-10k (Gold sink! Hooray!) at special Xunlai Agents in one or all of the main cities on each continent.
Knightsaber Sith
Maybe they could sell something like those runes of holding for bags; except for storage.
Jetdoc
I think that A-Net is anticipating that the transferrable inherent modifier change will likely solve a good portion of this problem (i.e. less armor and weapons taking up inventory slots).

also no mention of not destroying armor just weapons and not all weapons even
otherwise they will lose a massive gold sink as no more armor need be bought.
also if you store prefixes and suffixes you will be adding inscriptions at 1 per slot as well.
less available storage.
just a thought
Cynn Evennia
Nice ideas here!
I vote for a supplementary bag, either in inventory or in storage, for armor. I got at least 2 sets of armor and 3 heads with all my characters, and my monk has 3 sets of armor and 5 heads and she cannot buy a 4th armor because of space.
Maybe a special bag with at least 20 slots for customized items (armor and weapons) will solve the problem.
Also a dye shelf would be handy.

Gaile had mentioned that this was a viable option
We need seperate storage for Collectables as they are just for fun and no reason why they should take up prime places in the storage
fatmouse
Storage space should increase with each character slot, 20 slots wasn't so bad when we only had 4 characters, I have 8 at the moment and when nightfall comes it will be 11 - but they're still sharing those same 20 slots.
SilentAssassin
imo there should be something where you can store up to a max of armour type
example:
you have a drop down list next to you headset where you can put in 4 armour pieces of headgear
a drop down list for body/legs/... with same size as headpiece
we all know that you need different armour types for different play styles and 4 seems to me a very good number, if you rly are a collector and you want more maybe they could add this into the store to expand to 8 or something for every character, but this costs abit... just an idea
but just increasing storage ISN'T a solution, it just shifts the complaint to next year.

Carinae
We need armor storge holding at least 10 full sets of armor, and probably more. Armor is a huge money sink and they should enable people to buy as much as possible.
Carinae has 6 full set of differently runed/skinned armors for different situations. I would buy more if I had the room.

Don't forget about your heros (customized henchies, whatever).
It sounds like we will be equipping them as well, so we'll need some extra space to gather stuff for them.
<<Sudden revelation>>
Hmmmm.... do the heros have inventories like ours? If so, that would aid our storage problems significantly. My personal set of pack mules!
On the other hand....
Does anyone have any hard evidence to show if anything is planned?
Please post if you do!
