Post your Weird Weapon Drops

This was taken back in early April of this year. Some of you might remember the day when rune armor drops got screwed up. Majors in blue armors, superiors in majors, etc. You wouldn't get the ''new build is available'' which fixed it until you return to a town/outpost. I tried to salvage it to see what I might get but became materials instead. And yes, it is identified.



This one was found recently at Eternal Grove. No extra damage mod or anything.

Lol, I remember finding a Purple Butterfly Sword in Ascalon. When I identified it...um, there was nothing to identify.

I remember watching HoH in observors mode in gw some time ago and remembering the decayed orr armor item dropping from a chest...lol
I always wonderd if there was somthink special in it :P

Once time when I was farming Ettins, I got a very low damage gold sword.
I ided it and got me a 10/10 sundering.
Sold it for 90k at the time.

Well at least it's confirmed rare katanas DO exist.

I don't think there was any confusion as to whethere rare katanas existed or not? I remember a thread a while back asking and a couple people posted pics, I have one myself. It isn't unusual at all for a gold item to drop with no inherent mod.

My oddest is a pretty perfect staff.... if its mods weren't spread across 4 professions. Will post a pic later.

nothing really odd about this just-off-max dmg weapon...except for its location...in the mission "d'alessio seaboard"

i've got golden phantasmal armor from Phantom Chests before in the underworld.

That gold Katana does have a mod, A Fiery Mod.

FDS's will often have no additional mods other than their inherent feriy mod though (even in purple and gold form, they can have just fiery).

Like I said, the only "weird" one is the Feiry Dragon Sword, where the only mod it "needs" to fit the rule is the fiery mod thats already named before you ID it. So it is quite possible and common to get colored ones that appear to have no mod when you ID them, because it counts the feiry mod.
