Well its a new minipet from PC Gamer magzine,so how do u get it?

Buy the magazine and enter the special code.

Also read the instructions ont he page that gives you the code. It holds all the secrets. Don't forget to read the part in big type that says it is only available during the pve preview and then after the official launch (that means you can't get it right away or after this weekend)

ArenaNet probably makes no money off of the sale of the magazine.

Nope, that would be considered 'advertising costs', probably. As in, it most likely cost them money to get all that in the magazines. They're betting on it paying off with the sales of Nightfall, since now people are going to want to get their minipet, and they can only do that if they buy nightfall. So it's a sales strategy after all.

I doubt anyone would pay $50 for the game only so they could get a minipet, especially one this ugly. That being said, I grabbed a copy of PC Gamer today from my University's book store while buying textbooks. Besides the minipet, the issue has an excellent preview of Nightfall with lots of new info and pictures.

I have a question...I bought two copies of the nov. pcgamer can I enter both codes in? I already put one in, but haven't tried the other one yet.

I'm afraid it's only one per account.

okay everyone. it says that you can only enter one code per account... so you can't have multiple Gray Giants on just one account. Also, it says in the magazine that after the preview event, once Nightfall officially comes out in October, you will be able to enter the code again and do the quest to get the Giant.

I don't see anywhere in this magazine where it says only one per account. So now I'm stuck with an extra code and I can't even auction it off!

They assumed you already knew, from having played Guild Wars, that any type code can only be entered once.

It isnt a rule they made up for the magazine code.

It says to type /bonusitems in when Nightfall comes out. Slight catch, I also have the nightfall bonus pack where you can get the Sunspear and Soulbreaker. If I type the code in, will I get the quest and another pair of those weapons?

only if you do not have them equiped or in storage. If you get them again and dont want them, just delete them.

Does anyone know if the code is in the Uk edition of PC Gamer ? I picked up the November issue today but havn't spotted it yet.

Could be on the dvd I guess, I havn't checked out all the files yet.

Alex has stated he should have info on the gray giant for Europe sometime this week. No one in Europe has it yet; no need to ask.

Also note when you get the code, KEEP THE PAGE!!!

If you used it during the Nightfall event it says you'll have to RE-ENTER your code to have /bonusitems give the Broken Toy again.

How many can you get per code? The magazine does not mention one so say if I type /bonusitems got broken toy trade it off do it again would another appear?

The magazine may have been a little unclear about that, but you don't have to reenter the code again. Once an access key is added to an account, it's bound to it forever. The only thing you have to redo is the /bonusitems and the quest.

I haven't gotten the magazine yet am a little hesitant. I know it comes with a minipet which is a huge incentive, but I mostly wanted to get the magazine in order to find out more about Nightfall before it comes out. Now that the pve event has passed, is there really much more info in the magazine that I wouldn't have already learned from the pve event? I would like to know, because this is currently preventing me from getting the magazine....
