If you ordered from EB Games or Gamestop...

there is a delay on the starter kit which i confirmed already for my own information

the starter kit is shipped separately from the game

ohh i see so its the starter kit but the oficial game will be shipped on date then like last time i recieve the factions preorder pack like a 3 weeks after i recieve the game.

since the game will not be out until AFTER that available *within 30 days* note it could not be the game they are refering to.

and i have personally confirmed the shortage on the starter kit with Gamestop

Funny, the GS I went to, the guy said that as a pre-ordering customer, I was entitled to a copy of the bonus pack as soon as they came in... provided the other folks who pre-ordered didn't get them all first. If that happens, he said, I'd have to wait for the second shipment. I'm gonna call in each day and ask if they've arrived yet.

It's possible that due to poor communication, different stores in the same company are doing it differently.

He was a GW player, so he thankfully knew what the hell was going on. You may not be so fortunate at your EB/GS.

i just checked the status of my order (regular edition and starter kit) from gamestop and it now says "usually ships within 24 hours" for the starter kit.

this image leads me to believe that i will be recieving my starter kit tommorow(tuesday) or wednesday since i placed to order on sunday and payed for the over night shipping

Yup and they already charged my CC

I have lost total faith in EB Games and Gamestop. They are clueless with anything PC related. I suggest you all cancel your orders and go with someone else like I did. Yes I lost my 5$ deposit but hey I am a happier customer since I did it.

They updated their information on the Prerelease.

When you JUST buy the Starter Kit by itself for 10 dollars, It says "Usually ships in 24 hours"

But when you get it for 5 dollars by bundling it with the order of Nightfall or Nightfall CE there is a note that says in BIG RED LETTERS: "The Starter Kit when ordered with this bundle will ship when the game ships on 10/26/06"

So what I did was just pay 5 more bucks for the 10 dollar "by itself" version of the prerelease and I should get it by Wednesday (2 day shipping), and I'll Preorder or Buy the game seperately.

This is why alot of people are getting "delayed shipping" - Before it was "We'll ship you the prereleases as we get them, charge you shipping, and ship you the game when it comes out, charging you shipping again" (This is CONFIRMED through their support), But Today or yesterday, I dont remember, they updated their site to say that when you bundle the two they'll ship at the same time so their arent two shipping charges, and apparently everyone that had ordered before that got an email saying part of their order is delayed (because prerelease is coming out with game).
