I just noticed this after the update, and it wasn't doing this before. Now all my guildies ask whenever anyone leaves, and then maybe leave afterwards.

This update wasn't needed, and was perfectly fine before-hand, I don't mind seeing people leave, but this is causing practically a chain reaction in my guild, that is spinning out of control.

Point is, it wasn't needed and its messing with my guild.

I like the update. As a guild leader, I want to know when people leave. They have a right to leave, I have a right to know about it.

Why would it bother people in any guild?

So, an update that tells us when someone leaves the guild, WHICH HELPS OFFICERS/LEADERS!, is SOMEHOW messing up your guild to the point where you hate the update?

Wtf kind of guild are you in? O_O

Point is, it was needed and you need to rethink your guild.

Tells you when they leave the guild, not sign off, don't worry, you can still unknowingly talk to yourself

LMAO xiaotsu!

Anyways yeah I'm glad they put it in, there were a few that left ours and we never knew cause the list is so long we just figured they were on vacation or something. Plus it helps us to figure out if they "left" or if there was a glitch that knocked them from the roster.

LOL. Hi Silly (fellow alliance mate here).
I don't know why TAM's having a problem with that. It is a nice feature I think. Also, there have been DOZENS of threads in Sarleaic requesting this feature to be implimented. The response has been overwhelmingly positive.

Why?

What are you running a cult?

I actually like this feature so I can speak to the person who left and make any improvements in my 80 persons Guild that I might need to make. Large guilds like mine are hard to manage at times. Especialy when people leave for unknown reasons. Sometimes they might leave because of personalities. If something like that is true then I need to know.

Don't ya hate it when they don't bother to say anything and just up and bolt when you thought they fit in rather well? One of our old members just came back and he left because we got busy with dodgeball and he wanted to do luxon stuff.... He never really said anything so we didn't know, we just one day noticed he hadn't logged on for a while and taking another look at the roster he was gone... o_O

Although I could think of a few I wish would have left without saying anything XD

to OP: you see......if i was goin to leave a guild,i would let my friends know and get then to change guilds with me (unless they dont want to) so even without this feature, these people would still leave the guild if they followed that person, so i dont see how can this feature bother

I've left a few guilds due to inactivity or just plain incompatability, and it is just common courtesy to tell someone that you are leaving and why.

No one's left my guild recently for me to test this, but it makes my forums teams job a lot easier, so we can easily switch people's access from members to friends or even deny altogether.

In short it's an excellent feature. Thanks.

If people going to leave your guild, they're going to do it sooner or later. Rather than blaming GW, think about why people don't want to stay.

I agree, that's a nice way to part ways. Just to chime in I like the new update, it does help to see who left. I have nothing to hide, if people aren't happy in my guild they can leave whenever. I'm just lucky to have such a wonderful core of people that I know won't leave unless I turn into a major jerk... which shouldn't happen.

It really is a much-requested addition, and as a guild leader, I know it's helpful to those of us who like to keep track of our folks. It's sad to see someone leave, and to see a message to that effect. But I do believe it's even worse to not know their status at all, not want to appear pushy in asking, or to assume they're still part of the guild when in fact they've moved elsewhere.

If people leave your guild when they see that someone else left,
you really don't have much of a guild.

I'm a bit of a loner, but I'll try a guild if someone asks me and they
seem to be interesting. Sadly, 9 out of 10 guilds I've been in have
zero interaction after the initial welcome. Other than people begging
for runs or free equipment, they never have any kind of interaction at
all. I have no problem with leaving that type of guild without a word
of explanation.

I have had a couple guild leaders pm me and ask why I left. While I
was impressed that they even noticed, the only reason I'd stay in
one would be because I can play the game with people I know what
to expect from. Some guild leaders seem to collect members like
cord wood, that's not for me.

Anyway... I like this feature too, it's the first thing I look at now when
I join a guild. If the invite to leave ratio is close to 1:1, I'll just pm the
person that invited me, give him back his 100gp and be on my way.
