There's plenty of unsecure networks around the place I live. So I can play GW with it. The thing is will my password get stolen over these networks?

Not as long as you are careful with your computers defenses. Run spyware programs daily etc.

If you are stealing someones bandwidth then you deserve to get something stolen in return.......

Technically, it can be stolen. But if people don't even know how to secure their network there is a very low chance of them knowing how to get your password.

I'm just thinking they may leave their network unsecure just to steal other's passwords.

If noone has noticed that you're stealing their bandwidth then probably they don't even know that, and they don't care.

funny you should bring that up as the subject was covered in MAXIMUM PC magazine.

YOU DONT KNOW HOW MANY OTHER PEOPLE ARE LURKING ON AN UNSECURED NETWORK.

IT`S A TRIVIAL MATTER FOR ANYONE TO INTERCEPT ANY UNENCRYPTED DATA TRAVELING OVER ANY UNSECURED WIRELESS NETWORK-THAT INCLUDES ANY EMAIL OR INSTANT MESSAGES YOU SEND AND RECEIVE, ANY LOG-INS OR PASSWORDS YOU TYPE, AND A WHOLE LOT MORE...........SKIPTO NEXT...IF CLIENT-TO-CLIENT IS NOT DISABLED, ANYONE ELSE ON THE NETWORK CAN GAIN ACCESS TO THE CONTENTS OF YOUR HARD DRIVE
is that a good enough reason to say the people saying do it havent a clue how to protect themselves?

how many of the lost accounts are GIVEN AWAY over a wireless setup?
