Haloween Event

This has been bugging me for awhile and I just needed to go to the forums (which now has 100,000 members...HUZZAH!) for help. There hasn't been any Holiday Events for Factions but Nightfals gonna come out before Haloween.

De vraag is (the question is in Dutch) Is the Halloween event gonna to be exclusive to Nightfall only? Anyone who can give me a heads up will be greatly thanked.

Factions didn't get an event as blaitently based off a real world holiday like the mad king and winter's day; but it did get the Day of the Tengu and the Dragon Festival.

At the moment; no one even knows if they're going to have the Halloween event at all. So sit tight, and Anet might announce something in a few weeks.

we do not even know for sure if there will be a halloween event this year as the Nightfall launch will keep them busy.

i hope they will have the same content halloween in all chapters but i have no knowledge on this

Maybe we get a celebration island which can be accessed from any chapter. Harder to make new graphics for each chapter's main regions.

Part of the reason for no "holiday" event as there hasn't been a holiday to celebrate since Factions came out.

Yeah that was my point...I was hoping that because of that then (maybe) Haloween event would be in factions too.

There has been rumors that there might not be a Halloween event planned for this year because of the release of Nightfall is very close to halloween which means Anet will be more concerned of making sure Nightfall gets released properly on OCT.27 than working on a holiday event. I really hope the rumor is false and Anet does have a Halloween event planned because imo it was the best event ever.

hmm, and I still have all my halloween freebies from last year, too.

I hope for a Halloween event too. Already got 1,007 decayed orr emblems saved up for it so far and plan to have at least twice that much by then.

Basically Halloween was the most fun I've ever had playing gw, so i'd rather have them belay the release of Nightfall (the only reason i re-installed gw after a 3 month breather) to after Halloween than have them not do Halloween because they're too busy w/ nf.

just a tough....maby the holiday celebrations are gonna take place in the Great temple of balthazar, since its accesible for all chapters?

I'd say they won't Halloween. The items are insignificant, and no one is making much money from them. Way too close to Nighfall aswell. I think they're going to redo Christmas though. Some people are making a killing from Candy Canes.

So? There is more in this game than just making money... events are meant to add extra fun to the game

QFT. Gold has nothing to do with these events. They're supposed to be fun, not a source of income. As a matter of fact, it's disheartening to me that someone would see these events solely as a way to make money.

In any case, I know Anet will be swamped with the release of Nightfall right at the same time as Halloween, but I really hope they do it. The Halloween and Wintersday events were the most fun I've ever had in the game.

mr big farmer there is more to the event than money and the items are fun.

and 1 week after wintersday people will be happy to get 100 gold for a candy cane.

if you dont believe that it seems everybody is stocking up tradeables so they can get thousands of candy canes they plan on selling at at least 1k each.

look at them all trying to sell their load of CC to each other with 100+ times the supply on the market

maybe 1000 times last years supply

I wont be getting Nightfall so quickly after its release ( wanna hear the reviews first ) before buying, but the Halloween event ( if being held at all this year ) would have already been finished by the time i buy Nightfall

so im really hoping if the event does take place, it will be in Factions.

I hope there is an Event I really want a pumpkin head!
