Vizunah bugged (again)?
Caelus The Fallen
I tried to to Vizunah Square (Forgein) twice this evening with 7 henchmen, both times they all ran straight for Togo's team as soon as the gates opened, leaving Mhenlo to get slaughtered by the Am Fah. The first time I managed to kill the 1st group solo, but succumbed to the 2nd (my build wasnt meant for soloing after all), the second time I tried the only other thing I could think of, and ran as fast as I could to the centre in the rather vain hope that Mhenlo would live until we could trigger the cutscene. This, naturally, also failed. If I remember correctly, there was a similar bug around launch, but I thought that got fixed... is it back?
To make matters worse, there were so few people in English 1 forming parties that not only was I forced to take henchmen but I got the same Local group both times :/ If any of those unfortunate souls are reading this: sorry guys, I tried.

do you happen to know if this triggers with two people or more? it could be just a solo bug :/
maybe its picking you up as a henchman (stupid thought) maybe it doesn't recognize there's one player and does the henchman run as if there is no players on the foreign side?
:P I know that must not sound helpful at all ^^;; just a thought

I think its because it sees both parties as contaiing humans that the hench should follow, but since 8 people move about more than 1, they pick the other party to follow.

To avoid this make sure there are only henchies on the other side. An easy way to do this is to type something in team chat. If no one is on the other side it will say no one hears you. If the text goes through, leave the mission immediately.
It may piss people off that you abandon the mission before it's even started, but it is much better than having it end 2-3 mins in because Menhlo is dead...

Yeah, Ive also beaten the mission with 15 hench (I got there first thing on the headstart day, so noone had time to have reached Local Quarter yet); I'm now after the Masters reward, which shouldnt be hard, even with hench, its not a hard mission, however this only works when your boys stay with you
NCSoft support was as helpful as ever, ANet are aware and are looking into it apparently.

My Ele, who only needs Masters, tried several times yesterday. Once we even had a full 16 real people / no henches.
The bug we encountered was a *several* seconds lag between last foe killed and door open / cutscene start, etc, MUCH more so than usual. While it may or may not have been enough to gain Masters (didn't keep that close track), it certainly added time unnecessarily.
(This happened in a couple other missions yesterday, as well. Was most annoying.)

It's a good thing they changed the henchies so they all stick close to your party leader now. Makes it possible to hench Vizunah more easily.
lennymon
yet it also make them ALL die very fast to aoe...

I'm sure, if you decide to hang around in the aoe yourself.
Yeah I admit they will most likely get all hit at first, but hench AI moving away from aoe damage has been around for awhile now (and now moving with you as well), so it's not that bad.
Anyway they removed the henchies staying with the leader after the event ended, so Vizunah is hellish to hench most of the time again.

Well, whatever has been the problem (maybe just bad PuGs
), my Ele clenched Masters in just over 18 minutes yesterday!
Of course, my Mesmer had just missed Masters by 1 SECOND earlier.
