1) Magical place that is fine and never has problems and you'll defend it 'til you die.
or...
2) Paid service (paying for the game to use makes it a paid service) and should work like any other product or service and you will complain when it doesn't?
I ask because some go one way or the other. Some people come unglued if you knock the game, others cannot say anything good about it. To be honest I'm sorta in the middle. I think the Graphics are stunning, the story is compelling, but not thrilled with the game mechanics (it's alil too much like an arcade game in most respects). But I'm more for it, than against it. Where do you stand?

GW is:
1-Perfect game ever!!!!
2-could use some improvements on little bugs, but nothing major
3-has very anoying bugs but i wont complain since its nothing that bothers my playing style
4-some skills and classes are alittle unbalanced, so i will be happy to see limited nurfs
5-horribly unbalanced game!!! nurf everything FTW so we are all equal wammos with sticks and no skills
6- I will give away my account to my 5 years old lil' cousin, and wil never play GW again
7- i got dramatised by the horrible game right after getting out of pre-searing, now i am in a mental institution and GW should be forbidden by federal law

I don't like looking at things with a blind eye, alot of people complain without any of the facts, while in the same turn, people support an idea and then Anet changes it the next week.
I just tend to hold back, and pick off the uninformed...

Really, can this thread just be closed? It's just another pointless one to get people to complain. There are plenty of others out there for people that like the game and for those that don't.

I'd pay a monthly fee for GW. I spend a lot of time in it (more than I spent in WoW), it'd still be really cheap entertainment per hour.

well i enjoy it i mean i think it's great and i've played may other mmorpgs. I like how it's simple but still has strategy and is fun.
What i was going to say though was I really can't complain except for I wish the community was better but there really isn't anything Anet can do about it. I'm not exactly happy about the number of Guilds. I think it should cost a lot more to create one. That way it would elimiate a bunch of the crappy pointless ones (matter of opinion of course) but then I think the quality of the guilds would go up with less quanity... and it would be taken more seriously.

My answer is neither. GW is an excellent game that I enjoy thoroughly. However, it does at times have it's problems. As someone who has continually invested in the game (buying multiple accounts, extra character slots, Factions expansion, and soon the Nightfall expansion), I do expect the problems to be addressed, but perfection is an idea, not a reality. So long as A-net shows a general effort to continue to make GW an enjoyable game, I will accept the game with it's flaws readily.

Seriously, it's a good, fun game. But it's got its negative aspects. Most of them are a matter of opinion, but the ones that are real problems (game glitches, exploits, etc.) seem to get addressed quickly, so they're not a lingering issue.
