This is just an idea to add another blessing onto the list of blessings each god already gives (like the ones that give +1 to attributes, extra health, etc). The blessing would be a 20% chance of being instantly resurrected with 100% life and 25% energy, and no DP. The 20% chance is so that there is a gamble aspect to it, and you might have just wasted your money. Otherwise, what do ya think?

20% chance? how often do you die?

How often do you die? What difference does that make? It's an insurance policy of sorts. Great for soloing in an unsure area, or taking a team into a really rough neighborhood. The 20% chance is so it isn't abused, seeing as how the blessings last for 20 minutes, rather than disappear when you die, it just covers your a** if you feel like you might get into a sticky situation.

Any more questions?

Correct me if I'm wrong... but aren't the only statues that offer blessings such as +1 to attributes, etc in Cantha? How could that be abused in FoW??

Not to mention, I don't even think there are any statues in FoW or UW, is there?

There is an UW entry in Snake Dance. Weither or not the Satues give out Blessings in Tyria, I would not know I never tried.

The statues in tyria do not give the blessings, furthermore, you loose any blessing when you zone.

Ah well there you go.

I just don't like anything that would make the game easier.

Well your blessing, although a good idea is both useless and unfair at the same time. For one, it gives inexperienced players a 'Get out of Jail Free' card while for experienced players won't even buy it. So its just making the game easier as KoalaMeatPie said, and no one likes a game with no challenge........

And the current blessings aren't "making the game easier"? Do experienced players even bother with the blessings as-is? Seriously.

the gamble is not too big enough... i say:

25% res = full hp full en no dp
otherwise, you get triple dp

and regardless the outcome, the effect goes away...

even then i think this blessing is too overpowered...

That is a good point. Don't know about triple dp... how about just lower the percentage to 10%. Don't like the effect going away (I had initially thought about that), but there is already another check in place, the fact that you have to have favor of the gods in the first place to even get a blessing.

Or - something that might be better, forget the 'no dp' part. So 20% chance of insta-res, as if by res signet - DP applied normal. The 'effect' lasts 20 minutes just like any other blessing. Or have a 100% chance blessing of a one-time use - DP applied normal. This is basically meant to be an insurance policy-kinda thing.

Wrong. Some of the statues in Tyria DO give you blessings, please read, and then bow down to GWiki^^:

(except the "to conquest" is no longer referred to as "dwayna's blessing")

Like someone has already stated, once you map, you lose any blessing that you have gained. And yes, you can gain access to UW through snake dance, the difference is that you can get into UW with +10% morale instead of no morale from ToA/ZKC, because you enter UW from the outside.

I'm not so confident with this idea, I would much rather have a blessing to prevent yourself from gaining DP upon a single death, but auto-ressing... there must be another idea.

Some kind of "next time anyone in your party dies he/she won't get any DP" blessing wold be nice.

PvE is easy enough as it is right now. When you party wipe, you just get rezzed anyway. Plus, the whole point of dp is so idiots who don't know how to play the game (ie, Mo/E nukers, warriors who don't use any attack skills while with henchmen, etc), can't just repeatedly pick away one guy at a time in PvE and pick through groups. DP can get to the point where it is impossible to fight certain groups (ie bosses can start getting one hit kills), and this is deliberate to force tactics by players.

As for solo farming, except for solo farming mission areas (which don't have res shrines, and thus you can't get the blessings in the first place), DP really doesn't matter. If you kill like 10 guys the death penalty vanishes again cause you get so much exp from killing people when you solo.

Please allow me to rephrase, the blessing from the Tyrian statues are as they have ALWAYS been, they did not get the CANTHAN blessings.

Did you read the rest of the thread? If so, you must've just -accidently- missed my post where I supplied this idea, a redo of the OP:

I read that as well.

And my point still stands. You get auto ressed anyway if your party gets wiped.
