Please Post All Bugs & Glitches For the PvE Nightfall Event Here!

Hello Everyone.

As the title says, please post any bugs or glitches that you find for the Nightfall PvE Preview Event in this thread.

The PvP one has been closed so this is for reporting problems during this weekends PvE event.

Does anyone know why I am seeing that red text message above my character slots that reads, "Your account is not yet authorized to play Guild Wars" When I login to the NF Preview event??? It is 12:31 PDT right now and the event should be live.

Can anyone please cure my frustration and tell me why it is not authorized? Is my account the only one, or has the event just not been launched yet?

its now 5:40 PST, Im still getting this same message....is the nightfall preview still delayed? O_o

I guess still down and there is no update on the website yet.

Notice "At this point, we ANTICIPATE that the event will not start before 5:00 a.m. PDT (Noon GMT). "

I looked to see if I could find this info - with no luck - sorry if I put the wrong search info in = =

Should I use the Key that came with my "Pre-Release" pack or the one supplied by the site?

Or does it make a difference?

Does the new character slot show up or do you have to delete one of your characters and then create a new one?

Hmm...let me see if I can answer.

If you already have Guild Wars: Prophecies or Factions, then you don't need the main GW site codes to play in the preview. You just log in and select "Nightfall" campaign with one of your open character slots.

If you don't have GW, then the CD key on the main site will be what you use, after you download the client.

Also, the CD key from the pre-release pack allows you to type "/bonusitems" to receive the icy scythe and fiery sunspear right now. The extra character slot appears when you input the "Nightfall" CD key.

If you have a GW account then you do not need to add the key on the site.
The character slot from the preview bonus disk will only show up when you add the key for Nighfall (when it comes out)
It will not show during this preview.

You do not have to delete one of your characters to be able to play.
Just create another account (it does not even have to be a valid email) and then use the key that is posted on the site.

i created a new account for it, and im also getting that message, so i guess we will just have to wait a bit longer

I do already have all of the GW packs and bought the Nightfall PreRelease for the extra "bennies" and the key for this preview week-end.

I have used all of my 6 slots - and while waiting for the site to come up was reading some more of the threads for info I had already entered the 'key' that came with the disc - but started to wonder if I did it all correctly - too much time to think (over thinking TeeHee).

Grrr, I got up early for this too, since today is the only day I'll get to play.

OK I'm a bit confused here. I have both Prophecies and Factions. I have extra character slots. When I log in and click on the Nightfall icon it just opens up an information screen. I see no options to create either of the two new character types. If I try Prophesices or Factions I can only create one of the old professions. How or what am I supposed to do to be able to check out the Nightfall event?

I tried with a new account, with my factions preview account and with my existing account and none are "authorised to play guild wars at this time" or able to create an Elonian character.

Dodger, did you even read the "Event Update" announcement? There's a delay.

Well, first off, even though GW.com says the event is now in full swing, I can't create a Nightfall charater, as the option is greyed out at the Campaign selection screen.

well guildwars.com did update to say that the event was ready to go, where previously it had announced a delay, but yeah.

the servers are being updated slowly, one at a time. just give it time.

Do I still use the same key numbers/game as I already have installed?
