i have a req 8 max dmg purple crystalline sword

only bad part is that the inherent mod is 13% vs hexed foes

i have heard that with the release of nightfall, you will be able to salvage inherent mods from weapons

i have some other crappy skinned swords that are 15^50

should i wait and add this better mod to the sword, or sell it now

the main problem here is that i figured inherent mods wont be worth is much once you can salvage them

so what should i do???

No one knows exactly how the inherent mod salvage thing will work yet so it's hard to say.

well in the november pc gamer issue it said that u can salvage inherent mods, choose what mods u salvage, and im pretty sure it said that the item wont be destroyed after is is salvaged

so the weapon mod market in game will definately change drastically, but im not sure by how much

I didn't read the mag, but just maybe the weapon will get customized or something if you do it... I didn't see anyone explaining exactly how it would work.

Let me get this straight.

Let's say I have a Sundering Longbow of Fortitude. 15^50, 20/20, +30hp.

I choose to salvage the 20/20. Am I left with a Longbow of Fortitude?

I heard the inherent mods in Nightfall would be called "inscriptions" and that these would be salvagable. I haven't read the article yet so, I don't know if this will extend to inherent mods.

Err... this will KILL the rare skin market. You just buy an inherent mod, a crappy gold rare skin of your choice, and put it on. Wow.

If this is true... I won't ever play GW again. The idea is just retarded. You could just buy a r7 gold Crystalline with 15-22 now for whatever it would sell for, and buy the most ugly sword with the most highest req BUT 15^50 on it, salvage it, and add it to the Crystalline.

This idea not only sounds retarded but it IS aswell. It better not be like that cause GW would be officially RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed up.

I seriously doubt they would impliment something like that o_O But I could be wrong >_< If they do yeah it will kill the market.

However what could be worse than that for this particular person (the OP) is that suddenly Crystallines drop more frequently and in other areas... thats always a worry to, but there you have your two possible evils and ya gotta pick which one is more likely or if you just want to chance it all and sell now rather than later o_O

I don't care what happened... Nightfall will either make or break the population of GW. If they do it right, peoples would love them for it. Do it wrong and peoples will bitch and whine.

I got bunch of items in my storage and even if this inherent mods salvage works, i sure these rare skins items will still be worth something.

They could at least make it less queer.

good bye....good riddance

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT READ IT.

"inscriptions" will take the place of inherent bonus modifiers for weapons and can be transfered between most weapons or sold for quick cash.......by allowing them to select which component they would like to salvage from a weapon, with the added bonus of not having the rest of the weapon disintigrate after the process is complete.
that seems very clear

I am pretty sure people whine either way. It is like the definition of "People" is "whines or complains".

Well Anet never backed down over the area code they put in and made Ele's next to useless for spells like firestorm and such so don't hold your breath that they'll change this.
Saying that i welcome the idea.

I am sick of "discussions" about the inscriptions implementation; at least wait until you see it in action before discussing it. In addition, I'm not very enthusiastic about people asking about money making-related topics here, as the primary reason for the Q&A forum is not how to make you the most money. Closed.
