I went around and asked people that wouldn't it be cool if there was a GW expansion to Prophecies that takes place in the Guild War between Kryta and Ascalon? All of them said yes =D.
So it'd be cool if there was an expansion pack to Prophecies but not a full game itself so it won't be so hard to think of some other classes for it. But it'd just be the first 6 classes of the game.
So like price it at like $20-$30 for it and people will think that might be a waste since it's just another story line. Well I think that there should be like 5 new skills for each class and 1 elite that you can't get anywhere else but there. Also, have it add like 1 more slot to your character thing.
So you can start up the Expansion game or you can enter it through Prophecies at Ascalon (wouldn't make much sense if you were to go to Lion's Arch since the Krytans were the enemy).
So then have the battles start in Ascalon as if they were almost losing. Then take it to the Shiverpeaks where you get Dwarven help and fight the Krytans. Also you can fight the early stages of the stone summit who are friends with no one. Then take the fight to Kryta where some peace settlement comes after you own them in the last with Adelberhm and everybody goes Whoopee!
The new PvP maps would be the Ascalon arena that's fresh and garden green with no tarpit, so just about no hinderensess but it'll be a time limit with the kill thing on it. Then the other arena would be some ancient Dwarven Gladiator arena that was just about destroyed.
Then the new added cities in ascalon would be Rin, and Drascir. For the Shiverpeaks you won't be able to go down to the south, so the city in the Shiverpeaks would be like where the Frost Gate is. Then there'll be mission areas at the Great Northern Wall (Krytans seiging Ascalon), Frontier Gate will become a mission area where you kill lots of Krytan outposts. Then go to Dascir the city and then right to there would be another defense from the Krytans invovling the Obelisks then you take the offensive with Adelberhm and take back the rest of the city. Then up to Rin where you make the last defense and then you push the krytans back very very very far. Then starting your offensive, you start at Norlani with a whoel bunch of Academy students and stuff and drive back the Krytans. Yak's Bend will still be called Yak's Bend, and then you tka ehte annoying path to Borlis. There the Krytans are on defense and are garrisoning both of the forts there. You get some dwarven help and take over the beacons and the forts. But between the first fort and the second fort, you meet a large band of stone summit and kill them. Then you prance onto the Gulch (that fort's name has that) without lightning the big beacons because the Krytans aren't going to open for you right? Then you blast the doors open with something and liberate the fort and end mission.
Then for the Frost Gate, you start in the second fort and then exit it to the mission area which is a small camp outside and then start going to the gate. This'll be mostly Stone Summit because they have taken control of that area but at the gate you'll fight lots of Krytans for that is their way in and out.
After the Frost Gate, you're at Beacon's Pearch where you'll take another annoying path the a mission area at the mouth of Griffon's Mouth. There the Krytans have a massive attack force with int he caves and you have to wipe them out and the mission continues onto the beach where there is a massive amount of Krytans on defense and two warships there with lots of guys on it. So on that part you're suppose to take out the warships and then continue onto where the mission area of Gates of Kryta is, but it'll be called the Battlefronts.
In The Battlefronts yo basically take the fight to Lion's Arch. Expect a large defense there on the way to LA. Also you can't be ran from griffon's mouth to LA, you can only access LA from the mission area.
There'll be a mission area just right outside of Lion's Arch and you start out in a fairly large warcamp. In this battle you fight with Adelberhm who is lvl 20 and young looking and an army of soldiers. So you seige the city and break past it's walls and start slaughtering everybody. There'll be 4 warships there since it's a large dock and it can accomidate that. So you tkae over the city and you're happy yay!
Lion's Arch itself will become a mission and that's when the Krytans still think they can take back their city. So that's when you and a large amount of soldiers fight inside the walls of the city and you fend off the attackers.
Then you'll go teleport to the last mission area where you crush the last of the Krytan army and then a peace settlement is arranged.
THE END!
Have an expasnion before Prophecies

All the worlds are pararell...how would you fit this storyline whith the current ones?
I realy don´t think 2 time lines would fit well togheter...

You know it's cool to have a mission that take you back in time and help some people during the actual event of Guild Wars.

I think you've got something here, definitely sounds cool.

Before Prophecies it was all peaceful. Personally, I wouldn't buy a whole expansion just to play a bigger story of pre-searing.

OH YES you have Adelberhm running around killing Stone Summit and White Mantle right outside the major Factions town. Good lord man.

(Factions may also be occuring just after Prophecies story line, but then surely only a Tyrian finished the game could access it, hmm?)
Anyway, your suggestion involves going back in time in the game a considerable amount. And No offense but its been suggested before in many forms, and nobody has ever made a pitch I agree with, and nor have you.

Going back ot the guild wars times would make it mostly PvP based surely? Pick a side (Kryta guild alliance or Ascalonian guilds Alliance) to battle it out, but then each guild fought for domination so maybe they would collecvt something for victories ot help them dominate towns?
Oh wait... I'm really not seeing any angle that could be addapted for this to work seperately and uniquely.
Also since 1 dev group finishes a project and begins another straight away (Ch4 will allready have a beta name, new class concepts (if they are getting them) and the like, since it should already be half way into it's design phase atleast) I doubt that thewy would have the time to come up with a pack which offers so little benefits to the players in getting it. The elite would have to be amazing and trump all the best elites of the core profs to make it even remotly worth while.

Do you want that expansion to be acessable for existing characters or only available to characters made in that expansion?

A fine idea.
Time-base-storyline are usually is hard handle in most MMO, but I think it should have less problem in GW than in other games.

dude we have random retarded time rifts all over the damn game lol i love watching rurik die at the hand of the liche and then going into yaks and bein like "sup werent you dead???..." so having a mission or missions like that wouldnt be that different, its just more noticable.

Yeah. It's a cool idea. Also keep in mind that Nightfall is an apoclypse. And end of a trilogy. So anything is possible for Chapter 4. Including going back in time.
Though i think a world where they are trying to advance techology would be fun and give us new creatures with a little fantasy Mech look.. i'm thinking of Final Fantasy X and X-2 the El Bed or whatever they're called. Something like that. Not sci fi but a world that you know that is advanced in technology .. like asia i guess
