Hi Everyone,
I just went to Gamestop and was told that the prerelease for nightfall must be purchased seperate from the game....5$(US) for the "kit" and 50$(US) for the game. Might be a moot point because they will not be getting the kits until next week, after the preview event! Wanted to pass the info along to everyone because I had not seen it and also to ask if anyone else has bumped into this?

PS: Anyone heard of any retailers not selling them as two different sets? I guess if nothing else it is 5 bucks for a character slot instead of 10...

I understand that it is not needed but the additional slot which I was led to believe, and still do, by the wording on the GW Website would be available so a character would not need to be wiped. I know I can set up a new bogus account but it is just the, what appears to be underhanded, way in which this is being done that irks me I guess.

You'd only get the extra character slot when you add the key for the Nightfall release. This was stated before.

aside from the /preorder items which are only for show at this point, the pre-release gives you exactly nothing useable until NF officially launches in a month or so

Anyways, type /bonusitems to get the weapons in any char you want, you can delete weapons and do it again.

Hmm I bought Factions from Gamestop and the $5 I spent on the preorder was subtracted from the $50 when I bought the game. That'd be pretty dumbof them if they changed their policy for Nightfall. Call some other Gamestop stores and see if the they'll make you pay $55 for both. You might've just talked to an ignorant sales clerk.
