Ah, thanks to factions new necro skills, I've been thinking of making this Jackhammer warrior for a build:

Not tested cause I don't have the hammer gear, yet... ^_^

Assuming AB, then Plague Touch gets the nod. No Heal for PvP? Er, yeah...

Even on a bad team I've found that a warrior dying first usually means the enemy isn't very smart, or at least, they think the meta game doesn't apply to them...

I was wondering if this hammer setup follows mechanic + efficiency well and if it does, I think I'll ditch the sword stuff that I'm carrying and let my wife use them. She wants a sexy swordwoman anyway [I'm gonna miss my max dmg Zealous Fellblade of Defense ]

If poison can't be removed immediately and it eats away at your foe, you can easily do 80% damage when all is said and done. [100% damage in one skill bar if all your hits crit vs. squishy target]

yeah this looks pretty good and i am definetly gonna give it a try but i have to say the 160 holy dmg i can pump out with holy strike and soulstone stike may deal just an once more dmg every knockdown although i cant use plague...

Plague Touch good, Fetid Ground bad. There has to be a different skill you can run there. Alternatively, you could go W/R with Apply Poison and Antidote Signet for similar effect.

Edit: Chilblains would actually work pretty well for what you want to do, but warriors don't have the energy for it. Necrotic Traversal might be interesting to try, although it obviously works best when there's only one corpse in range.

Fetid Ground is that bad? Well, Apply Poison doesn't do any extra damage and there's that huge e. cost, I think Plague Touch beats Antidote Signet in terms of usefulness. Crippled Warrior ranger isn't as nasty as a crippled W/N. When you get crip shot and have just enough room to Plague Touch, that's better than an antidote signet, at least with my style of play...

Thing is, I never considered W/N hammer till the 'if knocked down' mechanic was added. Reason I tried W/Mo was so I'd be different from the AS hammer types and well, AS fails vs. high armor and rangers, Holy Strike crushes all equally. Soulstone strike? can both be cast before they get up? etc.

48 cold dmg and 16 seconds of poison. Sure it can be removed/resisted, but then again, so can everything else in this game...

Hmm, I don't see efficiency in Apply Poison + anti. signet. I imagined, and by mechanic, that Apply Poison does it's dps job best on multiple targets. Since Hammer really sucks at that kind of attack [unlike cyclone axe or fast firing ranger changing targets], I never imagined thinking Apply Poison would work for hammers...

Great ideas though, any other takers?

Looking at the mechanics, Fetid Ground is like an Armor Ignoring version of Aftershock... 0_0
