Nightfall Pre-release access key

I got the pre-release version of nightfall and access key. I put the key in and the game says it recognizes it when I check under "Manage Access Keys". Yet, I have no extra character slot, like it said I would get. Do I have to do something else to get the slot? I don't want to delete one of my level 20 characters just to play the preview event. Can someone help? I'm brand-new here.

thanks for being a jerk. I told you I was knew and you HAD to add "Stated many times before". I searched for the topic, never saw anything like it, and after much thought decided "Hey, maybe someone will be nice enough to help out". Thanks for the info, but no thank you to your rude mannerism. It's people like you that make people like me afraid to even talk to people online.

If you enter the weekend access code to an existing account, you do not get a free slot..you either need to have a slot free or delete a char to make room. The other way is to create a new temporary account, with a new email address.
You get a free slot when you purchase the retail game, but that doesn't become active untill October 27th.
You can use the weekend code ad infinitum.

U are being rude . seems the norm when it comes to peeps asking simple questions just answer the persons question without comments i,e stated many times B4 .... not everyone who plays GW is a pro some are new to the game and this site
