The 5 energy shouts are going to be very close to free most of the time, too, because of Leadership. That isn't to say that you can't make an energy hungry Paragon build, but the profession in general has smooth energy. Also even in split situations you don't suffer greatly unless you were really maxing out that Leadership. At a moderate spec you were only hitting 4-5 guys anyway, and you're still going to be getting that in a split situation.
Peace,
-CxE Well I don't really see that many adrenaline shout's I'd use. Most of them are elite or high cost(hexbreaker aria and stuff). Also if you are trying to use something like Vocal was sogolon, you can't really use weapon = no adrenaline, which makes it practically impossible to make a build. Because while 5 energy shouts usually don't cost anything, without adrenaline shouts it is hard to power 10 energy ones.
Another thing: I kinda miss an elite that would make shouts recharge faster. List of shouts that would be improved by shorter recharge is at least twice as long as the list of shouts that benefit from extended duration.

Go For the Eyes! if left unchanged makes paragons a great class. You add a significant amount of pressure to any beatdown team by increasing crit rates on everyone, and, as noted, It fuels your energy very well, and
I actually think Incoming! Is stronger than you guys think. Basically, every 20 seconds someone is getting dark escape when they're about to be spiked. Not to say it's what I would run for my elite, but not a horrible skill, just not quite good enough.
I also like Soldier's fury, because It's a passive frenzy/flurry without the drawbacks associated with those skills, but requires you to have a shout up. If you can keep some sort of long duration shout on yourself though. Unfortunately, there aren't too many shouts/chants that make that are worthwhile that fit that criteria. I suppose energizing finale could work, and also helps smooth out energy, but you're filling up a lot of your bar just to meet the criteria of an elite IAS, which if you think about it, is pretty stupid.
Ultimately, I think the most playable elite is going to be focused anger.
Focused Anger/Agressive Refrain/Barbed Spear/Blazing Spear/Merciless Spear or vicious attack/Go For The eyes!/something/rez seems like it will be excellent pressure, and you get to have ranged deep wound which is a sex bomb.

The shouts that are best to use Soldier's Fury:
- They're on fire (20 sec duration 20 sec recharge)
- Watch yourself
- Any Aria chant(arias are triggered on spells, so they are likely to stay on paragon, while casters use them up)

Oh, I love GFTE too ..I abused it a whole lot in FA during the FPE anyways
It really is a great skill imo though, especially under focus fire. I see this skill porviding very good use for mission bosses as well- with the whole team focused on the one boss and then having GFTE activated every few secs with like 5/8 party members getting a critical hit each time..

We did ranger spike with it, you can spike down a target without orders with this and the elite that causes deep wound on crit.
