They're a title track (visible in the normal title place in the H tab) that raises your sunspear rank. A higher rank makes more quests available as the others said.

go outside great hall talk to the sunspear scout and get the bug hunt then go all the way to kamada (walk not map travel) and talk to the sunspear scout outside and get the insect hunt. then kill all plants and insects. wooot. easy points
