I'm trying to hench this with my assassin, and after countless attempts I've finally gotten the arena part down pat to get out to fight the big kracken, but he always kicks my ass. I play a ranger secondary, and I've been bringing broad head arrow solely for the purpose of argo. I guess I just need some tips from people who've henched this, because it's driving me nuts. Should I play as a regular assassin, or would it be better to go for a bow and arrow approach?

Try Disrupting Stab. It works on Hanuku's Jade Fury, his only offensive ability.

I've been doing that like a charm. I interupted it every time, yet he still kills me, and while I'm killed he gets a jade fury off which kills everyone else. God I hate missions like this, with bosses like argo and this guy, where you make one mistake and you're toast.

If he's killing you with standard attacks, Flashing Blades maybe? I haven't henched this before but i believe it's doable using a Assassin/Ranger. Use ctrl-shift-space on target to get your henchies to take aggro. Let the henchies do the work. Interrupt jade fury but don't interrupt ressurect. Kill the new spawn as fast as possible. When the spear is charged, activate a running skill, run up, drop it, shoot a little, then pick it up and run back.

Yeah, flashing blades might be the way to go. Last time I tried, my henchman actually were interrupting his resurections pretty well, and I interrupted the jade fury, but once he killed me it all went to hell in a hand basket. Seems the main thing is defense against his regular attacks. Thanks for the suggestions!

bah, flashing blades is elite, and broad head arrow is, and without broad head arrow Argo takes out my group in a few seconds. Maybe critical defenses.

Have you considered this:
Disrupting Stab Entangled Asp Exhausting Failure Impale Iron Palm Black Mantis Thrust Shadow Refuge Rez Signet Damage may be lower than normal, but you still do some damage, and more importantly, you can interupt and poison everything. With knockdowns, interupts, and causing exhaustion, this should help you defeating anyone using skills or casting spells. Warriors however, are still your worst enemy.

woohoo, finally passed this, but with a non henchman group. :P
It's an easy mission with other people, but damn hard to hench imo! Especially as an assassin!

i did this with one guildmate and 6 henchies and got masters. used the hex > iron palm > falling spider on the kraken while my warrior guildmate used disrupting chop. sometimes we drop the spear on it for another round of interrupt.
lo sha is great to have in this mission, lol.

I just made it with A/W and full Henchmen...
I failed the first time (forgot to take interrupts lol) but annihilated him after... Mission completed in 16 minutes... I had 2 interrupts: Disrupting stab, and distracting blow. Flashing blades as elite, and shadow refuge every time it's up...

The only way the OP can be having trouble against Hanuku is if he lets him use Jade Fury. So I guess it's not that obvious for the OP.

I don't see what the problem is. I took deadly henchman, he has daze and I myself took disrupting stab for the jade fury and I had no problems with this mission whatsoever. Drop the spear. Let him resurrect, it takes the pressure off you. Disrupt the Jade Fury and kill the resurrected squid. Rinse and repeat. After killing a few squid that he resurrected pick up spear and drop it. Repeat all till he dies.

I am new to the assassin, but not to the ranger. Use apply poison which should help with assassin daggers as well as a bow bring Broad head arrow and trolls urgent. Make sure to bring the Mesmer Hench helps disrupting, and archers. When you get to him stand back with a bow and let the henchies do the work. Apply poison and use broad head only when Jade fury starts. Keep self healed with Trolls urgent so the Healer Hench can concentrate on the healing the Warrior.
