Could anyone give some advice as to how to defeat the final boss on that mission? He just heals himself too well - can't break through. Any advice as to what I should do with him?

I'm a Paragon with the three heroes. well when i did it i was more defsive in my dervish, i switch to more dmg and just overpowed him, and deep wounds work wonders

I used the paragon skill that makes the next attack skill by each ally cause burning (for 2 sec). Worked pretty well. I'd fire off my spear, get some quick burning. The dervish and warrior heroes would then reach the target, and the dervish would use an attack skill first (as the warrior needs to charge up adrenaline). So plenty of burning.

i just failed this mis with earth/scythe dervish and 3 heroes, boss has 3 prof and crazy hp regen, i'm going to replace dervish hero for a paragon hench now... not sure what paragon hench does but we'll see...

Use anthem of flame to cause burning spear, then use barbed spear straight after anthem of flame (before your char has time to let a standard attack off) you get collossal drain and damage that will last =)

I used my 3 heroes and im a P/Mo I liked anthem of the flame, worked fairly well and beat him easy. Pull away all the undead around him first. then cast AoF so that all your heroes are affected by it. then just kill
oh and my warrior heroe had Savage slash to interupt so that helped too

When I defeat it, I waited a bit and put a hero attacking it from a distance. It changed shape a few times and then it got bored and came up torwards us. Then we started attacking. I had a hero being monk/mesmer and I noticed some spells being interrupted. Funny I didn't notice any heavy healing. We were 2 Dervish, the necessary hero and my hero Monk.
The first time I went there we were killed pretty fast...

I started at the harbor and formed a party w/ one guildie and was able to run to the diggings and do the mission w/ a party of 8 people. 2 live and 2 sets of heros. Needless to say we smoked through the whole thing with out even breaking a sweat.

Neo Nugget
When me and 2 other guildies did it we made the maditory dervish hero a monk........we were 4 dervishes total.....dervish/monk was a better monk than the hero monk dunkoro:P
