case in point if a banned name is *changed* and you customize anything the item will still read for you only *customized for banned name* instead of the new name.

This has truly got o stop. As A-Net says "Once you create a character the only way to change the name is to delete that character, except for offensive names then there is an automatic form that will pop up that will require you to rename such character to a less offensive name". Thios has been posted several times here and is now getting stupid. Please use the search before posting.

I have posted on a similiar subject and have placed A-Nets responce straight from their website to it.

the programmers are the very ones saying even if Anet allowed it they would not be ABLE to do it as the account was set up to prevent tampering for security reasons.
not only will they not change it they CANNOT change it

I'd like to see this allowed in the game, I had over five hundred hours in
one of my characters before I noticed that I'd misspelled his name. I
currently have over 4200 hours in him, but I'd still like to correct his
misspelled name, even if if meant that he'd always be tied to his
original name. I'd never be willing to pay more than a token amount to
do it.... but I'd still like to be able to fix it.
