I saw this skill for monk and i was like... ZOMG!!!!!!!!!!11111111111111111111 BOON PROT NRG MANGEMENT this combined with remove hex, smite hex or an extra sig might work as a good build. Being smite its able to be boosted with rune and it seems very good in my opinion thoughts pls thanks.
Elite Hex. For 5...17 seconds, whenever target foe hits with an attack, you gain 2 Energy.
(i dont think the numbers are correct i used it today and with 9+1 it lasted 18 seconds... go figure)
And yes i do know its a hex so it can be remove. maybe scourge healing as a cover.

This skill is too conditional. Its going to be great for pve.
With the amount of powerful hex removal being added to the game and B light becoming more popular I wouldn't rely on Zeal for emangement.
You have to be in a hex overload build for it to work.
It also only triggers when the hexed foes stikes. If you are running aegis, wards, distortion, ect....it will reduce the ammount of energy you'll gain.
Also the target can just stop attacking until its removed. Too conditional for me to put this on my bar.

could it work with spirit bond monks or 55'ers?! since technically, they are being hit, and since their dmg is mitigated any way, why not for a free 2e per hit?!

this skill could be amazingly good in a hex build, where it can be covered and maintained on any melee character (and casters who wand i suppose -_-). the energy gains could make it possible to spam rof+guardian for zealots fire dmg, assuming they attack through the duration of the hex. the combination sounds pretty deadly: heavy degen + scourge healing + smited warrior pressure.
