New WPE-key account & locked skills in pre-made

I don't know if this is too late to change, or if Anet will ever change it at all but...

I made a new GW account using the WPE key. Then I decided to try playing a Dervish in PvP because I have no space left in my own account. Because this account is new, I understand that I need to use the premades in order to gain some Faction Points to unlock things.

I chose D/W I used to play in the PvP preview event. And to my surprise, I can't use the "Victory is Mine" elite which is included in the pre-made template.

Does this make sense? I mean, if I were a new player who just learned about GW and wanted to try out this game, why should I get a "locked skill" in a pre-made template I chose to play in "World Preview Event"?

Please either make pre-made templates with all usable skills or just permit this so-called "WPE Account" with an ability to unlock all skills normally by Faction Points as if it has all campaigns.

What do you guys think?

This is a PvE world preview event. You gain all the skills you need through PvE. The PvP event already happened ages ago.

I'm sorry to say this. But this event isn't exclusively for PvE. It's just that this event ALSO has PvE mode, while the previous one didn't.

Also, all of the new skills are available to unlock in PvP mode. Most of them, especially the elites, can't be obtained in the PvE mode IN THIS EVENT.

You probably cannot use ViM because that new account does not have Prophecies linked to it, which is where ViM was originally in.

Yes, and I understand that. But don't you think that since they provide keys for new players, who don't have any of the GW campaigns, the keys should enable the usage of skills in the pre-made templates at least?

Of course not, "pre-made" has zero meaning in PvE

Cacheelma, the more logical explanation is that your having access to those premades in the first place is a bug in itself (or poor design, which comes to the same thing). Just like you can't use the Assassin premade if your account doesn't have Factions linked...

I believe what Cacheelma is trying to say, goes something like this.

This preview event is a hybrid beta test/ promotion event. They let all the experienced players test the new areas/content and give them a sneak preview.

The second reason for this event is promotion. It's like the kiosks you see in stores for consoles. You get a hands-on experience that leaves you itching for more. Anet gives out promotion keys to let potential customers try their product before they buy it.

Third, there are two parts to this event. PvE and PvP. You guys are confusing the issue here. What Cacheelma is saying has to do with PvP and nothing whatsoever to do with PvE.

If you have ever made a PvP-only char you know that you can select pre-made templates. What Cacheelma is claiming (i'm not using a preview key so I can't confirm) is that the templates are locking the elite skills. This means that the preview players don't have access to the elite because they don't own prophecies (in this case ViM).

In my opinion, this is probably a bug. Anet does not want to hamper their potential customers and/or aggravate them.

That's EXACTLY what I tried to say, Almighty. Thank you very much.

I'm sorry if I didn't make it clear to you guys, with English being my second language and all.
