Am I missing something - or do Koss and my character SHARE the backpack?

What happenes to all the loot drops that I do Not get? Shouldn't Koss get it - if it is just the two of us out hunting?

I have searched for a way to see if he has his OWN backpack and can't find a way to access it (if it even exists??).

Thanks soo much for any and all info on this

Yeah, I noticed this. The heros all shared my backpack/bags. Since Anet had said that you now get to 'manage' the heros inventory, skills, etc., I assumed this meant they got their own packs. (Which would be a pain in the rear, but <shrugs>...)

You can't see his backpack, but you can give him items out if your backpack.

And the money? It says you "share" - hmmm - where does his 'share' go?

Glad I am not the only one that noticed this - and glad I am not missing something - Thanks for the Replies

You can only see your money as well.

Think of it as this: You can only see your money, your items, and your inventory, but you keep all the items you give your hero in it as well, and you spend your money on the heroes.

The Heroes themselves don't have backpacks.

Of course you aren't supposed to take their loot from their backpack, that would be stealing :0

That'd be a blast, going to FoW solo farm with 3 heroes when you can just get whatever loot is assigned to them from their inventories...

Gold shared is the hero's share, they aren't doing what they do for free but for a fraction of the profits. They get some loot and share of the gold drops. I doubt you would give the hero your gold drop if he asked to, ha ha!

If you want to ho' all the loot to yourself, go solo. :b

I think Koss spends all his money on

If they had their own backpacks, they would immensely exploited as mules.

Lol !!

erm...

The backpack question has been bothering me...

If I want to keep a decent weapon of each discipline for Koss - one hammer, one sword, one axe - what happens to the unequipped weapons? If I decide to change him from hammer to axe, and his nice shiny max damage hammer drops back into our shared inventory... then I'm losing inventory space!

If it doesn't, and it goes into a nebulous unseen backpack of his very own.. how do I re-equip it ?

Sorry if it's been mentioned before, but I haven't seen it. And given the storage issues.....

I'm worried.

It wouldn't seems fair to get their drops...
but it would be nice to be able to give them weapons sets without wasting inventory space, like saraphim said.

They do have their own pack, and take their share of the gold. Just because they're fighting with you, doesnt mean they have to give you their stuff :P.

Anet has said that you share inventory, and give the heroes items from your invent.

Think of Heroes as customizable henchmen. Nothing more, nothing less

this is one of the new things I DONT like about nightfall.......having to carry everyone else's loot....I am NOT their MOM! They should make 1 bag for weapons for each henchie/'hero' that we have to lug around with us (and yes, I do mean lug since some of the missions REQUIRED us to have one of them in our group)......some of my characters already have enough weapons and armor that they need a mule to carry it all----I cant see this hero stuff as all good with this problem on the horizon
