Nightfall Interface - Attribute/Skill merge

I am dissatisfied with the attribute+skills merge.
I liked having a big icon of a skill and all the information (with modifiers) right next to it when you select it. When you change your attributes, isn't it better when you can see the changes to the skill right away?
Why did ArenaNet had to change it? Reading the skill description off the tool-tips is annoying! Merging two items of the interface together gave birth to a monster: it's ugly and cumbersome.

What do you guys think? Is this new interface feature a good idea?

There is already a thread on this but to answer your ? it is for saving builds to your computer so you won't have to remember them.It is all in one place and there will be save button to your own HDD.That is the reason why.
