NPC's don't think realy economically

prices of some NPC's are just too low. So lo everyone can get them. With those prices, I mean the prices NOT being influenced by the players, but the prices always will be the same, (most of these pries are only a one time fee)
3 examples:
- Weapon customization. this costs only 10g.
- Xunlai agent. costs 50g if im right.
- Xunlai material storage. costs 50g too.
if i would have my weapons customized, i would also pay 1k to have it customized. This is more realistically, as the weapon customizer will have more profit from it.
the Xunlai storgae account is great. I use this so much i would also pay 10k for it (only once of course). If its only 50g because Anet wants that low level characters, who dont have a lot of money, can acces their account too, then still the price can be made higher. In pre searing you dont have any xunlai agents and after getting in post, you gte more money really fast. maybe not 10k, 2k will do then too, but 50g is just too low, not realistically because traders not getting any profit.
material storage could also be 10k, as it isnt a really necessary upgrade, though its very usefull imo. I would buy 10k for it, better than not having it. You can always buy it later, if you dont have that much money yet.

first things are too expensive, now too cheap, I bet if they raised the price, people would be complaining about this, I still get people begging for 50 gold in shing jea so they can open storage.

NPC are not real people... they don't need to make a living....
What you are suggesting are gold sinks... mechanics that dev would put in just to make you pay (and adding a cheap way to for player to play more). gold sink, to some degree, are needed, but not for the basic function such as weapon customization or storage.
/not sign
(ask only for more playing options to have more grind, but never ask for making grind necessary to play)

people dont need to buy the storage immediately after creating the character. then they get at level 5 a lvl20 staff, bow or axe or whatever..
I dont like that fact. In Prophecies there is no storage in pre searing, I like that, in pre searing, you learn very good how to handle the items in your inventory, which to sell, how to keep much space for loot etc...
People should also consider if they make the crafter customize their weapon. if you customize every weapon you get, you want to keep because of a nice upgrade, thats stupid as you cant sell it to others anymore. making the fee higher will make more people realize this.

'cause it makes no sense.

The basic storage space on the game should be attainable for your first character within a reasonable amount of time. Increasing the amount of gold needed to get into basic storage for a first timer to something like 10k or whatever you're suggesting is unreasonable. As most players will find this an unattainable amount for their lvl and their current gold needs i.e. armor, material, and other things that they might want to buy.

People don't need to get the storage at lvl1. As they mostly want to have max dmg weapons in the lvl1-10 regions. I don't like this fact, just because there are lvl1-10 weapons for lvl1-10 players. Not getting the storage immediately also helps you getting around with inventory using.
maybe 10k is a bit high indeed, 2-5k will do in my opinion too. Still material storage isn't something you need at the begin of the game, and you can also play with a not customized weapon.
making money in the game is easy. even if you are not lvl20 yet.

Sorry, but you want to spend more money? Also as stated, these are KEY parts of the game, and are 100% required, do you remember doing pre searing again, with no storage, or what the preview weekends are like... YOu have to carry all your crafting materials, everywhere!

(maybe it'd stop people spamming 'wt borrow 50gp to open storage' but beta that than 'wt borrow 2/10k to open storage' )

the thing is, that a lot(if not most) people in the game dont have a ton of money, and spending 10k a character(20 for crafting too) on storage is impossible for some peeps. sure there are people with millions of gold but thats not everyone(pretty sure its not even most people)the devs already said that the average person should have under 100k. if thats the economy they want, why would have have a person use 1/10th of their money on something as basic as storage? its not viable. money sinks are being talked about but they will not come in the form of storage or customization.
Pkest
The only reason storage has a cost at all is to make a new char go do something (or at least beg) before they have access to all the goodies in storage.
Weapon customization costs far more than the 10g since it means you can no longer sell the item. I might be ok for raising the price if they also included an even more expensive way of UNcustomizing a weapon as well.
overall...not signed.

Try buying a Guild and all the things inside it and tell me that it makes sense to pay money so someone else can come and get more money off of business. That's like paying telemarketers to call you so you can buy stuff from them. It's a game, don't try to make it something more than it is.

The whole point of low prices on common services is to reduce grind, and more services in the game should be available and cheep, because this game isn't about grind and upkeeps, it is about strategy and gameplay ability.
I never understand gamers obsession with trying to make things difficult for no reason, every part of a game should be fun, and whether it is a chore or requirement, it should still be fun, unless making money and gaining skills is made into a fun minigame which I can enjoy independantly of actually battling with the character, than it is a chore which should be limited in neccessity. A game is about having fun, and anything that doesn't contribute directly to fun should be improved or minimized. And trying to maximize cost of what we already have cheap is a totaly bogus idea altogether.

I think there are plenty of other ways for Anet to make gold sink for example 10k for a haircut (re customize your char's hair, maybe able to customize it with hair from other campaign that you own like prophecies char with cantha hair more uniqueness).
