Nightfall Ritualist Skills
TGgold
Since nobody's really focused on them...I'll highlight a few rit skills and combos I think will sweep the world by storm.
1. Renewing Surge:Target foe is struck for 15...51 lightning damage. If you are holding an item, this Skill recharges instantly.
Comments: It's a fast, easy to spam skill under Attuned Was Songoki. At around 50dps, that's not too bad.
2.Renewing Memories:For 5...17 seconds, while holding an item, any weapon and item Spells you cast cost 5...29% less Energy.
Comments: I think this is amazing, it's like a mini-AwS. But, imagine using it *with* AwS. At 16 Spawning, it lasts 21 seconds, with a 30 recharge.
3.Wielder's Remedy: For 10...26 seconds, whenever you cast a weapon Spell on an ally, that ally loses 1 Condition.
Comments: see above combo, add in Vengeful Weapon.
4.Synergetic Light: Target other ally is healed for 15...75 Health. If you are near a Spirit, you are also healed for 15...75 Health.
Comments: I think it's a pretty good deal. At 16 Resto, it's 95 health.
5.Siphon{E}: Target foe is struck for 15...51 lightning damage. If you are holding an item, you gain 5 energy and 15...51 Health.
Comments: It's 63 at 16. You can use it once every seven seconds...not Uber, but it is at least some self healing for free.
Spirit Strike{E}: Sacrifice 17% maximum Health. Gain 5...13 Energy. If any Spirits are in the area, you do not sacrifice Health.
Comments: It has a 15 second recharge. at 16 Channeling, it restores 16, for a net of 11 energy every 15 seconds. It's like OoB, with less risk.
Anguish: Create a level 1...4 Spirit. This Spirit's attacks deal 5...17 damage and deal double damage to Hexed foes. This Spirit dies after 15...39 seconds.
Comments: Painful Bond comes to mind. It does 21 at 16, so, doubled that would be 41 when hitting a painful bonded enemy. Plus the damage from the bond. Nice.
So, I'm pretty pumped about the new skills I'll definately try a channelling Rit now. Also, I'm seeing some pretty cool secondary rit options opening up.

A Chanelling Rit can go really far in RA if you get the right team. The skill that most excites me is Synergetic Light.
Dahnel
offtopic, I think they have the name of Syphon and Spirit Strike mixed up.
P.s. Weilders Zeal is going to be ftw imo

I'm excited about trying a bar-handed chaneller. I've been messing w/ Atuned was Songkai and Chanelled Strike. Renewing Surge seems like it's going to be on my bar when Nightfall releases.
Daily Rituals
Well i'm not much of a fan of the channeling thing, but anguish in combination with pain, bloodsong and painful bond works pretty good. On the other hand i don't see a use for Signet of Might, 10 seconds is just too little...
ump
I'm disappointed that restoration didn't really get much. The only binding ritual is Recovery (conditions expire faster). Synergistic Light is decent (heal other + heal self - if near spirit). Vocal Was Sologon (chants/shouts last longer) is for paragons. Weapon of Remedy (Vengeful Weapon + condition removal) has some possibilities, but weapons have the drawback of not being stackable making their use very limited. You might be able to make a decent protection build based on Weapon of Remedy, Vengeful Weapon, and Weapon of Warding/Resilient Weapon and then throw in some heals. I guess my hope is that they will duplicate some skills and they haven't shown them yet.
Blurry
theres a new skill ot get rid or even add to vengeful farming ^_-
full rit 55ing could be possible cuz im pretty sure its not a weapon skill like vengeful...same ol 8 secs tho
pain anguish bloodsong will make nicely for bombers

Wielder's Zeal has great potential, but having it in spawning power kind of sucks. Sounds more like a communing skill to me.
Xinrae's Weapon will have some use in RA/TA, and crafty people will find a way to work it into GvG/HA as well, maybe on a secondary.
Wielder's Strike+Weapon of Quickening could be worked into a Channeling build, I just never got around to trying it until I noticed the skill after the event was over.

EDIT: Double post.

Not to exciting i was hoping for better but anguish is a nice add to a spirit bomber and if it came to a 1v1 battle with a boss u could probably take it down easily. Channeling is yet again not impressive although weapon of fury might be a nice warrior skill because of the no way of removal. About 4 skills for restoration and only 2 are that nice. (weapon of remedy and synergetic light) Im wishing spirits strength wasnt spawning. Feast of creation is nice for a restoration build because of high cost of recuperation. Essence could be nice coupled with AwS. Theres my 2 cents...

My only problem is that ritulists didn't need al those sucky elites. Most of them needed to have their effects lowered and elite status removed.
As far as signet of might >.<. love the idea, but after the bug fix it sucked imo
10 seconds.. i understand that casting this on pain. and then casting painful bond can lead to alot of dmg on one spirit... but its not nearly enough to scare anyone off. and or doenst last long enough .
I wouldn't replace wanderlust with this in otherwards..

Rits didnt get any good elites, impo, same with Me. Least Eles and Monks got a couple of very good elites. And Necros... well, they got all the cool stuff, they barely have 1-2 so-so elites, rest is rightout amazing.
I guess you can argue some usability for Sig of Might and Xinrae's Wep. But that pretty much sums it up. RL and VwK are still my fav elites. NF doesn't look like it plans on changing that.

Speaking of New skills, what the heck is up with Sight Beyond Sight, that prevents Rits from suffering from blindness, i mean Rits are CASTERS, and i dont recall the skill description saying anything like "target ally" in it. Has anybody got screen cap of new skills or anything?

Lol i think its another tip to the melee rit. IF you didn't notice, many skills seem almost designed to encourage melee use of the rit. I've tried to get melee rits to work, but tehy simply dont have the dmg output. With spirits strength in Restoration they wont have the defense to go with it. maybe a bow ritulist?
The ritulist doesn't mesh very well outside of spawning. ANyone whos tried to use channeling will know thats its not very effective compared to an Ele, ritulist spells just have too many secondary requirements must be under the effect of a weapon, must be in the area of a spirit,
( a sure sign of a crappy skill, just take spirit light weapon, consume soul, two awsomely crappy elites, both of which have normal skill counter parts that put them to shame)
THe ritulist just doesnt really do anything well outside of spamming spirits, defensive or offensive. I know some people will say OMG channeling awsome dps over time! but without 2+ spirit backup channeling is worthless as hell.
Striking for 30-50 dmg on rangers and most wars. And only a threat to squishies with no monk protection ( which never happens outside of RA)
REstoration is a bit better. It makes up for lack of protection with high point heals and good use of resiliant weapon or weapon of warding combined with recuperation to make some decent regen.
weapons not being stackable , and not being able to attack through items takes away sooo many possiblilities. I would rather items act as a focus, being one handed, in other words you'd lose the magical effects to your item without losing 20/20 FC FR time on your weap. ALso you could really think of some melee rit builds if this were the case.
make weapons stackable up to 2, this way you could actually have protection combos. weapon of warding and resiliant weapon, venful weapon and weapon of renewal.
the rit is limited because of of his unfortuante having to rely on spirits to be nearby, The "in the Area" affect manes that the skill is basicly confined to be used only for yoruself, because rarely do you want you melee guys ontop of youspirits.
any wyas /rant
i liek ritulits, but they are made just barely over the edge unworkable. a little to short duration, here, to low an aoe there. ritulist will always be my favorite class, because of how underused it is outside of spirit spam. when nightfall comes i have a hard time seeing the ritulist really remaing around,
he'll have to jion up wiht the dervrish at teh bar of unuse so to speak.

for future reference, it's spelt channeler.

One spirit is fine and in most cases a Channeler can outopower an ele. I have played channeling builds in TA and HA, they are effective in play. I got 30+ wins in TA accompanied with a Channeler. unmatchedfury

What the name of your rit? if you wouldn't mind a friendly one vs one sometime. I'm betting an Air ele can take you out. i agree the rit can keep channeling spells going longer but im dismissive of the idea that they do more spike dmg. they are viable, but they aren't quite as multi talented as an ele is while still doing dmg atm. What Rits aren't multi-talanted? As compared to Eles? Is this some form of irony I'm not getting?
Cirian
Not to mention, 1-on-1's are moot in a team game. I'd love to see a BL monk vs resto rit 1-on-1... that could take a whiiiiiiile (like, see who falls asleep and gets wanded to death first ).
I've seen some nice multi-rit team builds recently that included a channeler - and they actually gain energy while nuking. I think it'll be a while until they make it into GvG, but it'll happen. Deffo. Master Righteous
I've noticed something else which makes me happy. Is Spirit's Gift a Factions skill or Nightfall? I never saw it before Elona. In any case, if you ever run a Rt/N explosive creation build in PvE, there is a great skill, I think , added to the Rt called Spirits Gift: 10e 1sec 45 sec., For 60 sec enchantment whenever you create a creature all allies near that creature gain 50 hp(spawn @ 15) + 1 condition removed. You can potentially HEAL others 100 hp(spawn @ 15) per pair of minions and heal yourself(with B-o-C). I would substitute Spirit's Gift for Creation Signet, which I don't use that much anyway while Rt/m-b. I have not been playing any other kind of Rt lately(spirit Rt), so I don't know immediately any other specific applications(rt builds). Peace.

Not irony. Rits as a class have more variablilty than eles of course but when they do a certian thing their not good at doing other things at the same time.
They(rits) have to go dmg , healing , or prot. theres no such thing as wards + nukes + a heal party, that anywhere near effective and good to use. Like a said, rits the class, versitile, rits the build, very limited in roles. Kasaaz
Well... Xinrae's Weapon is the ultimate anti-Necro Spike tool.
Kais Unduli
Recovery actually isn't that bad. I've noticed a lot of conditions being tossed around so far in Elona, and recovery helps out the ones myself or the monk don't have time to remove their condition.
Anguish is nice with Painful Bond, just gotta keep track of how long Anguish is up before I use Soul Twisting on it. Bale_Shadowscar

Like a said, rits the class, versitile, rits the build, very limited in roles. I disagree. You can mix and match wonderfully with a Rit. You can dish out damage, heal, and offer party support much better than an Ele. The only reason Eles ever got stuck spamming Heal Party is because they have a ton of nrg to absorb the cost. Eles are very straightforward in their builds, the only somewhat flexible build will be the Blind Bot/HP Spam one you mentioned. On the other hand, the only straightforward build Rits have is Spirit Spam, the rest is mix and match. Rits work best when they mix and match. As for the pushing Rits towards physical damage, I think the push is for Paragons, not Warriors, or Rangers. All the skills that push for blending Rit primary with a physical 2ndary can benefit Paragons. If you haven't noticed Rits and Paragons have a lot of synergy, esp. in the partywide support department. There are numerous comboes, I'll just point out that Wep Spells + Paragon attack skills, and Spirits + Shouts + Chants work very well together. Terra Xin
Speaking of how awesome rits are, I'm loving Gaze of Fury... alot. I use it to replace destruction so I can continue spamming away with my skills and when destruction recharges, I can move forward, cast it again and spam skills while Spirit of Fury adds in some damage from behind. Its really nice.
Oh, did I mention it can be used on enemy spirits as well^^? A very nice way to saboutage a spirit spammer by having one of your own there. Bale_Shadowscar
I tried a combo that they mentioned on GW.com before Nightfall was released with the 'skill previews' they were doing.
[skill=text]Anguish[/skill] + [skill=text]Painful Bond[/skill] + [skill=text]Signet of Might[/skill] My Spirit was doing up to 100 damage with each attack, and combined with other spirits in the vicinity as well, enemies were dropping like flies. I only tried it properly in the Zaishen challenege though. In RA it was a bit harder to do, as people wouldn't just sit there and take punishment, they'd run away and wait for the 10 second lifespan imposed by Signet of Ghostly Might (Signet of Might- its been renamed) to run out. Hella Good
Use Gaze of Fury on the Anguish.
Metasynaptic
Reclaim essence ftw.
