The classic hex spammer goes like:
Blood ~12, Curses ~12, SR ~10, Illusion 8
1- Siphon Life
2- Faintheartedness
3- Parasitic Bond
4- Offering of Blood (E)
5- Distortion
6,7,8- optional
I think that in NF this hex spammer get a make over. How about:
Blood ~12, Curses ~10, SR ~11, Illusion 8
1- Siphon Life
2- Reaper's Mark (E)
3- Parasitic Bond
4- Shadow of Fear
5- Distortion
6,7,8- optional
RM costs less than Faint, has a similar recharge, last a bit longer than Faint, does more degen ([email protected] vs [email protected]), AND gives you 17 nrg back if the target dies while under the effects of the hex. Shadow of Fear can be used to achieve the slower attack rate- it lasts longer, is adjacent AoE, and recharges a bit faster than Faint. Surely the nrg management side of RM will only trigger if the target dies, but when that happens you gain 11 from SR + 17 from RM = a huge chunk of 28 nrg, every time a hexed target dies. That's a ton...
The concept is the same: don't focus on one target, just spread the hex love around (your overall degen/pressure damage is what matters with these builds). Use the optional slots for whatever the situation calls for. Sig of Lost Souls might be a fun addition. Chant remover maybe... whatever.
I think it is a viable alternative.

Agreed. OoB just got replaced for primary necros... more or less.

Yea, I use Conjure Phantasm for initial damage dealing on my MM at 8 points in Illusion, Conjure is much more efficient than any DM damage skill, or BM, or Curses for that matter at this low lvl. With RMark, I can drop Conjure and merge my damage dealing with my elite nrg management (I very often use OoB with MM, because I like to play with expensive minions). 2 for one. Can't beat that.
